Trying to skirt the laws that you find stupid does nothing but fire up the other side and is detrimental to pro 2A arguments.

  9. I think things like bumpstocks and pistol braces are bad for the 2A. People harp on enforcing laws better as the solution, but then go out and try to find their away AROUND laws.

  12. It was the customer service and not meeting agreed upon expectations that made me look around, and then the fact that ever local competitor was half price sealed it. I overseeded with expensive seed and called to tell then to NOT apply any application. They said no problem, noted my account, and said that my first application would be skipped. A week later they came out and applied pre-emergent and killed all the seed. I called in amd complained and they offered to overseed for another $100 but would get me on the schedule right away. Unacceptable.

  15. My sister recently bought a new car and as she was going in to sign the papers, a girl was leaving in a brand new Tahoe. The salesman looked at my sister, shook his head, and stated that the girl in the Tahoe had a 96 month car loan
  16. The people that bought our house had Concord and they had the clear to close at 27 days even though the contract was 45 days. I asked my loan processor at Huntington on our loan and they said they are about 28 days right now. Of course these are all conventional, non FHA loans.
  17. Don't put the contingency, just put closing at 45 days. THen when you sell your house put closing at 30 days and then 2 weeks to move out

  22. My Westport is $280k, and the land was bought from Dominion when they went under so the lots where we are building are only about~$30k developed. The only difference between your mid-level builders (Westport, M/I, Trinity) and your high end custom developers (Donley, Romanelli etc) etc are your basic finishes and lots/neighborhoods. We went with quality mid level finishes. There are 2 of the same floorplan of our house that are over $300k. There are only a few of the low end builders left (Centex, Ryan, Maronda) and they have not upped their game on their structure quality and just sell on sq footage alone
  23. the "proper" fix would be to do beams on the inside, excavate the exterior and seal the exterior of the foundation, lay new drainage, backfill the wall with proper material and grading. Of course what kind of buckling are we talking about? In some areas of the city, when the block foundation houses were being built they backfilled too early and then didnt have proper drainage for multiple months and it causes a slow buckle of 1/4" or so and small cracks. They are usually old and not a problem as long as the drainage is managed.
