You have no idea what you are talking about. Cats pee to express their emotions. I asked my wife "If you saw 10 cats in 1 day with inappropriate peeing, how many would actually have a medical problem?" she answered "more like if I saw 30, 1 would have a medical problem, the other 29 are pure behavioral"
  2. All the public ramps in New York State charge. Our friends up there who boat all the time think that it's crazy that we don't have ramp charges here.
  3. Their policy clearly says that you must own your home to adopt from them. Also, most adoption places keep the rights to the animal, meaning if they have basically denied you, someone else adopts it and gives it to you, they will still have the right to take the dog back. I've seen CHA remove dogs before.

behavioral pissing is more common than there actually being something wrong.

  9. If he was indeed kicked off for a 3rd failed drug test his suspension would be NCAA wide, meaning he would have to go NAIA this year to play.

  13. My great aunt is 89 and we try to visit her every few months. Back in December she was showing us this wood carving she had made and said that it needed about 3 more months worth of work, but that she wasn't going to be here that long. We saw her this past Sunday and she is still up and moving around 8 months later.
  14. looks like his shop is doing some really cool window tinting and sound systems on some really expensive vw's. so much for a performance shop. His mail order wife is still welding the manifolds. In addition, the weed Brownies Wiggs has been eating before his "races" in fantasy land will be done in 10....
  15. I just asked my wife their cut off on a LIT. They don't recommend it over 30 lbs and completely refuse the surgery over 45 lb. That is the standard they are taught in vet school. The guy is just taking your money.
  16. I figured that too. Waste of money really. Go get care credit and get your dog fixed the right way. Most vets will refuse a LIT on any dog over 25 lbs. Like literally won't do the surgery, they will tell you to find someone else to do it. And most of the cost of the tplo and tta come from the time of the experienced surgeon doing the work.
  17. Yeah, my sister is a RVT. I'm like the only one who doesn't do anything with animals. My wife is a vet, my sister is an RVT, my parents train horses....
  18. no Shelley Guilfoos
  19. When was she a at OSU? My sister is a radiology tech at MedVet, ask her if she knows Shelley
  20. I know way more than you think. It has nothing to do with ripping people off. It has everything to do with a vet who knows what they are doing charging for the value of surgery they are doing. My wife's clinic is one of the cheaper ones in the Columbus area and their lead surgeon (who is actually trained in TTAs and TPLOs) would charge $2000 for a dog this size. That includes meds, hospitalization, anesthesia, and the actual surgery. Any vet worth a damn is gonna charge more than that for that surgery. $600 for that surgery is nothing more than a "yeah I can attempt it".
  21. That's nice, but no. That surgery starting $1500 is not a rip off. Caring about the animals and having the skills to perform an advanced orthopedic surgery are 2 different things. A lot of clinics do not even attempt TTAs and TPLOs because of how advanced they are. When Barnheart got to Medvet in 1999, he was the first to ever perform a TPLO there. That tells you how advanced it is and that a "cheap caring vet" is not your best option. Honestly, on a surgery like this, you get what you pay for. It's honestly a "yeah, I'll attempt it" price.
