  1. Barnheart is one of the best orthopedic surgeons in the country (of course Dyce at OSU is probably THE best in the country).
  2. $500-600 for an advanced orthopedic surgery concerns me. Any vet who is worth a damn on that surgery is going to charge at least $1500. You get what you pay for.
  3. Ohio State for a TPLO or TTA. Orthopedics is a specialty that most veterinary general practitioners are only decent at. A real veterinary orthopedic surgeon has 4 additional years of orthopedic training as well other accreditations
  4. Marriage tax break? WTF is that? We get hit with a major marriage tax penalty.
  5. I love Totally Awesome. Good shit

    dish vs. direcTV

The Insight guy could've just been blowing smoke up my ass, but when Insight is fully absorbed into TWC, they are supposed to be rolling out a new user interface and faster standard internet.
  7. whats the weight of the camper with water, fuel and gear?

    dish vs. direcTV

Did you get Insight to run a new line to your house?
  9. So I don't think I have posted in this thread, but I'll share my progress. I decided to diet and do p90x starting weight April 8th 231 lbs Weight as of July 29th 197 lbs The only real strength gain I can quantify is on the chest and back routine on p90x. The first day I did 90 total pushups throughout the routine. On my last day of it I did a total of 205 pushups.
  10. Rear ended by a Yoder Toter.... Can't make that shit up
  11. He typically does his callbacks late evening, so you probably won't hear from him till about 8 tonight.
  12. Rick Harrington- Patch Independent Home Inspection http://www.patchhomeinspections.com/ He is honestly like the Mike Holmes of Central Ohio. He is extremely thorough, makes sure to even note small things that don't really make a difference so that you have not only a full inspection report, but you also get a nice maintenance list. He drives a boom truck and will get on the whole roof without any complaint (some inspectors complain about roof pitch and so on)
  13. Really? It was pretty big news. I guess Mutter is pretty well known around Johnstown, but it's also well known that he has some pretty strong meds in his possession, making him a target. He slept on his couch because he has always been paranoid that someone was going to kill him for his meds. (A friend of mine is the Johnstown K9 officer)

Well especially since they were pounding on another Derecho, but left out the part "In New York State"

    weather

All the weather articles are removing the Derecho possibility. They also only mentioned it for Ontario into New York State moving East into NE
  16. The clock counts down on this one on certain stages. There is a time limit on the finals stage 1 and 2.
  17. The money is totally separate, it won't affect tuition. The money stays in the athletic department.
  18. That doesn't change the fact that it from here on out changes all appeals.
  19. With the talk of Superconferences and the BCS running the playoffs, I could see it eventually happening. IMO that's why the NCAA didn't go as far as many expected. They knew that if they gave the actual death penalty WHILE overstepping their scope, that it would cause big problems sooner rather than later.
  20. It's a problem because it can affect other institutions down the line. There are proper governing bodies to handle this situation and the NCAA is not the right one at this time. That would be the DoE and the DoJ. Rip away their federal funding for violating the Clery Act and put the criminals in jail. People lauding this NCAA punishment are praising empty sanctions. The problem was not confined to an athletic department, it was institution wide. What does punishing a football program do? The NCAA saw it as an opportunity at a power grab due to PSU agreeing to it, so they took the opportunity. No one is saying that PSU shouldn't be punished, but they should be punished correctly, not some stupid symbolic punishment that effectively changes the landscape of college athletics as we know it.
  21. No, the precedent is set that the NCAA can impose sanctions outside of their bylaws. Them agreeing to not appeal does not change that, it changes the way appeals will be looked at in the future. I disagree. I think the NCAA will use it as a case to justify any and all sanctions from here on out, making appeals that much harder, and not just in cases of sanctions outside of bylaws.
  22. Every opinion I have read from lawyers that deal with this kind of stuff say that PSU would have destroyed the NCAA in an appeal had they not blindly signed off on this beforehand.
  23. No it doesn't Had Penn State not wanted to play ball, Emmert was not authorized to unilaterally impose punishments.—
