You may think you did, but they are always going to take a cash offer, or an offer with less contingencies, even if the offer is for less than yours. Huh? MLS is just a marketing tool, it doesn't change anything about the sale. Like I said, the real estate market is always in flux and certain types of deals are always going to be better than others.
