Fucking sweet, Matt. Are you shooting for spring to have it ready? Would be a good excuse to come visit Mid Ohio and catch up.

To echo Buck, my garage is block as well. Fuck that. I can't wait to tear it down and put in something wood frame.
-
Have you pulled codes on it?

Those are bad ass cars. $25k is a fucking STEAL. Fuck. Drive it like you drive it. Break the engine in as you'd typically drive. Don't hoon it, don't baby it.

Every part I've sold recently has been through FB!

In my F150 (2.7l tt) I definitely notice a difference in 87 vs 93. The manual says I can safely run 87 but that "best performance" or some such happens with premium. I mean, duh of course -- heavy truck with a tiny boosted motor. But I definitely notice the difference, so much so, that I just run 93 all the time.

Neat. I think we'll do this now as well.

Thanks for the recs! Emailed the builder and he signed off on Joe Gibbs Driven HR-2 https://www.drivenracingoil.com/hr2-10w-30-conventional-hot-rod-oil.html Ordering some up from Summit.

Yea, not just for break in. It's got break in oil in it now that I'm ready to change. I did ask if he had a brand he preferred and he basically said any high quality conventional. His logic was, in their experience 347's tend to seep a bit more oil when using synthetic and he just really prefers mineral oil as long as it's changed regularly. Seemed a little odd, but they're a pretty well known shop for strokers. I'll take a look at all of these options. Thank you!

The engine builder for my 347 told me he prefers I run conventional and not synthetic. Typically, I'm a Mobil 1 guy through and through... what's the best conventional oil nowadays?

Mostly true. My brother in law is a senior software engineer (QA/approval) for GM Powertrain and he's echoed much of this. He still thinks it'll get cracked, but it's going to be a lot more difficult.

The GMC looks SO MUCH BETTER. Maybe this is a long term ploy to get Chevy truck buyers to GMC so they can kill Chevy trucks?

It's dual climate control, yea. I drove it around when I was pretending to be Anthony a few weeks ago.:dumb: For what it's worth Tina, it didn't work for me either from the moment I started it up.

Looks great!!!

We'd actually prefer he eat more. He's kinda grumpy about the food, taking only nibbles mostly. But we get he's got some recovery to do there. 4th

He can move on his own. Can stand up, walk some, etc. He'll benefit heavily from the PT.

Accurate depiction of Anthony's mood, lol. They say 3-5 days.
