  1. I fail to grasp the connection here.
  2. Skunks are pretty sociable if you don't make hasty movements, threaten, or corner them. My wife's parents had a wild skunk that would come around to eat the cats food too. Many occasion I'd walk out to see the skunk. Pet it a few times too. Leave it with an 'out' when trying to approach, stay up wind, and there shouldn't be any problems.

    Snow!

It's a whole different world since I moved to Utah. Snow falls like that are common and expected. This year was some of the 'biggest' snow falls in Utah for a few years. I laugh (not inusltingly) when I read your guy's threads about "OMG we are getting 4 inches, prepare for the world to end" threads. Out here, 4 inches is a dusting. 6 inches is nothing, and 8 inches just starts to be a concern. There were a few days this winter where I was driving to work with snow on the roads up to my bumper (in the 4x4 Ranger), hell in Ohio the roads would have been shut down at that point. The drifting on the other hand is the killer.
  4. The book goes into good detail about that mission. He had to kill a VC that was slated to torture a couple downed Helicopter pilots if I remember right. Or something to that effect. there is so much info and detail in that book it's hard to remember everything 100%, but reading and learning and remembering the basics of what he did is something fun to do (and later have conversations about).
  5. I think the book said he had it sighted in at 2300 or 2500, still that's a hell of a distance to be launching a half inch piece of lead from the top of a hill.
  6. Wow...lol Take the damned internet away from the kid for a month. It's the parents fault.
  7. One of the picks of our company cars is the Fusion. A coworker has one and he drove us from the airport after a business trip. The AWD is quite good at what it does. In the Utah weather/ice/snow it was almost as flawless as it could get. It's not Subaru AWD or anything, but then again it's still a family sedan. If it wasn't for my distaste is the way a car rides, I'd consider it (Mazda 6 AWD actually) for the next company car.
  8. I see how you now meant the question to be interpreted. In space there are an infinite number of variables that could keep or knock any object out of orbit. As little as a fraction of a degree variance in an objects course can cause it to change orbit, inevitably affecting its path with other objects. In this case, I don't think they said what the cause was, maybe the guidance system failed or space debris collided with it.
  9. Not sure on the fuel, maybe it has it's own mix of oxygen already blended in? As far as satellites staying in orbit. They stay in orbit on the same principal the moon stays in orbit and doesn't fly out of control.
  10. For fucks sake, used cars are SO much cheaper in Ohio.
  11. Whats so special about a 92 GTA that he's indicating? Low vehicle production count doesn't necessarily make a car worth money.
  12. Yah, I was thinking the car was constant speed. Should have read it closer.
  13. On a pefectly flat and smooth surface, the car will not continue to gain speed. There is 0 power to the wheels anymore. There might be a percieved plateau affect where you may feel like you are neither gaining or losing speed for a few moments, but at that point, all the drivetrain friction, air drag, and road/tire friction will immediatly start to slow the vehicle down.
  14. my buddy's neighbor had a setup like that, only on 4 legs anchored to the garage floor. It wasn't for breaking in an engine, rather he used it to see how his rebuilt carbs would perform. It was kinda like an engine dyno, where he could apply a small amount of brake to the engine, but wasn't able to measure output. It was cool none the less.
  15. Skip the Barrett and go directly to 20mm. http://smiliesftw.com/x/jerkbowdown.gif http://www.anzioironworks.com/images/20-mm.jpg 20mm vs 50cal http://www.anzioironworks.com/images/20mmwith50a-1.jpg
  16. Which isn't a lot is it? Hell, if your bank account makes more than $10 a year in interest you have to claim it.
  17. I'm getting a huge return this year because I got married and built a house. I didn't change my with holdings till I filed, but have changed them for this tax year. The one thing that pissed me off, was my wifes income bumped us to the next tax bracket. Her ~$1000 that bumped us over the gross income limit, cost me ~$1300 less coming back to me. Thanks Uncle Sam, ya slighted fuck.
  18. Sorry, broke window doesn't place me doing it or near it. She simply has me mistake for someone else.
  19. A) Do you really think that traveling and being rear ended like that you're body is going to be able to compose itself in less than a split second before being ran over? B) See A, also, have you ever watched someone skiing wreck? They flail all over the place too. You can't compose your body, let alone the longest appendage(s) you have in a moment like that. C) John answered that one D) Watch the hole video, the first cars go straight. That's not only a turn lane.
  20. Austin, you're right. I thought you meant the same as Trouble Maker referring to my other thread and saying I would/did use a gun. I would hope though that what is said on here (especially) would be taken with a grain of salt. Truth being, were I in that situation, I would have my strong side on the gun as it was holstered and approaching. I'd make sure I was still 20ft away when I said something to him. But I wouldn't really shoot out his knee. Now, if he did charge at me, then yes the gun would get drawn.
  21. Me thinks you don't know what the rules of engagement are. When was it ever advocated the use of a gun in my thread? You're voting for Hillary aren't you?
