I just saw that conflicting bit of information, and was hoping someone could shed some new light on what really did happen, since a couple of the involved parties said there was NO racing going on. I just wanted to know if there was anyone who knew more of the real story is all.

If its in that article that's okay. I was just going off of what I've read in here, and seen on the internet news stories. And the Toledo article was the first to add that 'new' bit of info that I've seen (since Im in Utah and don't have physical access to the papers)

I believe him. My 05 Ranger had the Duratec 2.3 and averaged 28-29mpg. On a few tanks where I drove for maximum mileage I got 32mpg. My window sticker in 05 said 25city, 29highway, and I was able to do better than that.

It's not cheap to get power out the 2.3 Duratec's. They are pretty much peaked for N/A HP and TQ as they sit. Nothing 'bolt on' will gain you any significant increase and remain cheap. Not easily, or cheaply for that matter. No. The 2.3T's were Lima engines. The new ones (01+) are Duratecs. The super coupes were 3.8L supercharged V6's. Turbo Coupes, Turbo Cougars, XR4Ti's, SVO's, Turbo GT's had the 2.3T. I agree with the keep it stock crowd.

Yah, cause this was all about side by side comparisons. My ranger would be cooler if the turbo was gold, but I just don't have those drifter skillz to pull it off.

Alfa Romeo's are cheap piles of garbage. My rental car is an Alfa Romeo 159. For only having 1500Km on it there sure are a lot of shitty annoyances that put me off to this car. The one headlight is already burnt out. The driver door doesn't unlock 80% of the time, so the passenger has to do it from inside. The check engine light comes on sparadically. The left turn signal blinker has a mind of its own on how fast it wants to blink. And, it sounds like a tin can on the inside when driving. It looks good though.

Civil war is the people fighting themselves. Revolution is the people fighting the Government. We couldn't have a civil war, all the anti-this and anti-that nutswingers typically don't own guns as that is part of their utopian delusion, and if they do, they typically don't know how to use them, or pee them self's a little bit every time they do. So, any civil war would be ended in days. I fear it would be a Revolution, again, that we would be stepping up to. From there, there are a million possibilities that could happen. A lot would hinge on whether the Military would stand up for the people and the Constitution like it's sworn to do. Or turn face on us and support the Government. Shit, I miss placed my tin foil hat.
