  5. Wow, sounds like you were really looking forward to seeing those cars go fast. Sorry about the cripples, but maybe next week you will see the cars go vrooom. Hang in there!
  6. It depends on a couple of things, such as the condition of the paint (if it is flaking, or peeling off) and how many times the car has been painted before. If the paint on the car isnt in good condition and is not sticking to the car, then what you paint over it probably wont stick either. if it is in decent condition, and adhering to the car, then a simple sanding would be best. Cracks in the urethane bumper paint, usually will go all the way down to the plastic, so getting the paint off there will be needed, or you will have the cracks re-appear after paint. If the car has been painted several times, or has thick paint on it, if you repaint over this it will chip easier, and the chips will usually be larger and deeper. unless yuo are a good bodyman the stripping is usually left up to professionals, or those that have upper level experience, as well as a good work ethic. Stripping isnt always the easy way out, as it can uncover and ruin unknown bodywork that will all have to be redone.
  7. I have a set of FD Chrome stock wheels. PM me or call me at 614 570 8336, thnaks CHris
  8. Dont use aircraft stripper on urethane bumpers, or other plastic parts though. It will eat into them and distort the surfaces. Urethane bumper stripper is required, it comes in a spray can.
  9. 68 firebird V8 leaf springs never used, but around 8 years old. $40. Will fit other GM cars.
  10. 600whp NA from a generation 3 can be done, but it probably wont be cheap. A stock LS1 with 7PSI will put out about 430 to 450 to the wheels. A good heads and cam package on a stock bottom end will lead to 430. A mild cam, heads and turbo would probably be your best bet, although the rear gear ratio wouldnt be best suited for the turbo application. A 427 LS1 with heads and cam would get you close to your mark, but would cost quite a bit of $. With a stock bottom end and heads, cam and 8 to 9 PSI with either a turbo or cen blower you could get your #'s and wont worry too much about hurting the engine. The best part is that you could actually drive your car.

  19. Save your money and get some heads, if you have the E6 heads on there it is the bottleneck of the system. E7s are better, but even with those a TB of that size isnt needed.
  20. If it is getting hot and you have put many thermostats in it, maybe it is an air pocket that forms in the system after a while. WHen you change the stat maybe you get it to go away for yhe time being.
  21. May be a plugged or restricted cat.
  22. I believe it is redi strip out by Gahanna.
  23. I believe that the Explorer rear is wider than the Mustang, so I dont think that much is good. Even if it was you would have to change proportioning valve as well as master cyl to get disc brakes to function properly.
  24. When we pulled timing the car would fall on its ass, I think he may have bumped the timing 2*. How are your dyno #s looking?
