Used forged short blocks are few and far between, especially good deals on them. You may run across one, but the chances of that are slim. Best bet is LS1 tech, or buy one new.

I would choose a BMW with a T66 5 liter Ford, an FC Turbo II LS1 T56 Mazda, an FD LS1 T56 throw in a procharger, Nissan Hardbody Pickup with a 5 liter Ford C4 trans and 150 shot. Throw in a Datsun 260z LS1 T56 76mm turbo and an LS1 Lincoln Mark VII, and have a reliable fun time. Soon to come is an SL600 with an LS1, as I have left out Mercedes, and have yet to piss off any of these purists. A Ferrari 328 with an LS7 would be some fun.

I think that you may want to reconsider putting it on yourself. It is quite a procedure that you dont want to make mistakes. Call the Embroider me company in columbus, he is the person who had it done, and will have the name of the company who did it.. It was like $3200 for the job.

Fuel pump cut off switch, which was probably installed for a cold start problem. the switch could be the problem if it is wired in directly to the pump. It may not be able to handle the amperage. It seems that a previous owner may have had some starting issues as well.
