  1. sorry got offered 300, not trying to sound like a jerk but if you want to spend more then I would sell to you. (PMed from ghost Dec 21st) If you wanted to auction the thing put it on ebay. This forum isnt an auction site.
  2. What about a V10 Lamborghini Gallardo, sounds lame.
  3. Yea, the list is pretty misleading. Kent took HGH for an injury, when it wasnt a banned substance. The Dispatch doesnt tell you that do they? The senators list is pretty much a waste of our taxpayer money. Hell David Justice is on the list just because he was discussing it with another player. Read the 400 some odd page witch hunt to get the senator Mitchell's waste of time and money.
  4. You sure you were'nt having the same conversation "with" your car today?
  5. Dipping will remove all of the paint, rust, seam sealer, undercoating, anything you dont remove from the car, the whole thing down to the metal. you will have to start over from square one, Even then, unless the shell is dipped into some sort of protective coating vat, the panels will be bare metal inside many places like the rockers and such. This will lead to corrosion every time the car is washed, and that is what you are trying to get rid of in the first place. Media blasting isnt as invasive, but will strip all of the outside paint and bodywork as well. It usually leaves the seam sealer and other things that are harder to replace. Most of the pro shops seem to use Media blasting as their preferred method. If dipping is done, the car must be followed by the "E" coating to protect bare metal, as well as probably be dipped after the rust repair is complete to do a correct job. This is costly.
  6. I am going to have to give that a try, this is something I have never done in a car. I think I will try it at a slower speed to start with.
  7. Strange rangers up north. Making the ugliest and unwanted cars fast, colts and AMC's. Reminds me of the people who drive Volvos, just plain weirdos.
  8. I am going to say that Brad with the TT SS Z28 would have to be at the top or close to it. I would venture that I would have the fastest totally stock LS1 (even stock manifolds), but hooking it up from a dig is a little difficult.
  9. What did the car end up running on that pass?
  10. Now that is what it is all about, one won, one lost, but all had a good time. Congrats to both of you for the sportsmanship!
  11. You have to come out if you would like to race. I am sure that if you come out you will get to race with one!
  12. I would say the three cars that I have with LS1s in them are a little more unique than a CTS-V, but you can be the judge of that LS1 T56 FC RX7 TII (not extremely unique but still only few out there) LS1 T56 FD RX7 procharged (pretty unique, maybe only 1 other out there) 86 Lincoln Mark VII LSC LS1 4l65E (pretty unique, NONE other that I am aware of)
  13. Stock N2O is 200 pushing it, and FI is 550 wheel with a much shortened life expectancy. Of course you can put all the good parts in it and make 850WHP turbo and it would probably live a decent life.
  14. 440 WHP, or somewhere thereabouts before you lose most of the streetability of the engine. I am not speaking from experience, but have asked the same question to many NA guys. Heads, cam , intake, long tubes, injectors, on a stock shortblock will give you that figure. I would assume that you ca ngo higher with shelf parts, but you may just as well go bigger cubes and get 500WHP at that point. Hopefully Linn will reply, as he has amassed a lot of knowledge in this area. Is this going in the RX7?
  15. You got any cars lined up, or just going out there to see if someody runs?

    NMRA Columbus

We did some last night. Had I not heated up the clutch in the car during the burnout, I"m pretty sure that I would have beat the GSXR(?) 600 I was racing. Good Times, I think that a Bantam weight LS1 dual purpose car (dig and roll) is in the future for the cols area.

We are'nt bashing them, I own a Ford also. We couldnt find anyone to race with a parking lot full of Mustangs. Even the supercharged silver Fox body had some excuses, traction, race fuel, etc. Plenty of good match ups last night , no takers.

Damn, now we have to register and call them out on the NMRA board? Whatever happened to just walking up and doing the race? As for the Fully sponsored Race car, I am assuming we are talking about the same one that did some real pure wild parking lot racing, and then proceeded to pull onto Main street and violate at least three or four BMV laws that I can think of, but I understand.

Doesnt matter that much, none of the mustang guys want to race, they just want to do burnouts in the parking lot. I think that they had the Pure Real Wild parking lot racing class this evening. Plenty of GM and even Dodge stuff on hand tonight, but no Ford takers.
  20. I have more than all of you
