  1. Congrats on the car. Im in the process of getting rid of mine, too small of an interior. Its fine for me but if I have passengers in the back im slammed up on the steering wheel. Otherwise its a great DD.
  2. To be honest, not good. But if you have the money seek counsel. I went over with my case with my lawyer and he pretty much summed it up with what I already knew, she would get full custody. My advice just prepare yourself that its not going to go 100% your way. My sons mother is the craziest person I have ever met and dont really approve of her redneck ways (she lives in Georgia) but she is doing a good job raising our kid, which is a surprise I didnt see coming. So it may not turn out as bad as you think right now, and Im happy to pay the child support and still get to see my kid. The only thing that you can control is being a good father, and dont allow the court, her, or lawyers to change that. Good luck.
  3. Used Ford Explorer. Plenty of decent ones for your price range. Ive been driving my 2002 since new and I have 255k, and the only thing I have replaced is the rear toe links, water pump (200k), and alternator. Thing has been a tank and I could see it doing another 40K. Keep in mind though not everyone has had the same reliabilty as I have had, with their Explorers.
  4. +1 for invicta get more comments with those watches than any of the other ones i paid more for and they last.
  5. What used to be handled outside, or out on the school yard is now settled with hand sanitzer and lawyers.
  6. Dont worry I built a purple ranger that probably wont see low 11's.
  7. Not sure if its fast enough, maybe an Audi A5, or Audi S5 if its in your price range. Didnt read the entire thread so not sure of your preference for cars. Also Korea is awesome.
  8. Thanks for all the input. Ill look into boost performance. Truck will be towed in as its scheduled to get wired August 15th. Would that be an issue, as the truck will need to be pushed.
  9. My truck build is coming to an end and I need a custom exhaust. I have a 306 in my 88 ranger with shorty hedman headers, and a C6 transmission. I would like to run a dual exhaust with x-pipe exiting out the back passenger side. I have a fuel cell sitting in the center of the truck in-between the frame. Are there any shops that can custom install/bend an exhaust from headers back. Would also like to have stainless or at the very least a galvanized metal of some sort. Ive used Exhaust Works in the past but dont know if they can do something this complicated as its tight underneath of the truck, or if they have the type of metal I want. Thanks for your input.
  10. Like the title thread: Looking for a daily thats going to last 3-4 years mechanically, and can be anything (the better cosmetic looking the better). Need a vehicle by the 23rd of May. Im 27 and have provided all the vehicles for my family since I left Ohio. Please post/pm your offers and Ill have someone check them out and we'll work a deal. Also this will be a cash in hand deal, please have a title that you can sign over and have pictures of vehicle you wish to sell. Also I live in Qatar so the exchange will be a family member of mine acting as a third party. Also keep in mind that I'm looking for vehicles outside of columbusracing.com, but prefer to deal with people from my hometown. Thanks.
  11. I wouldnt classify it as a sleeper, but wouldnt expect someone to drop 1200 hp, full cage, and parachute into a beat up nova either.
  12. The best I get for business travel is the Middle East and the The Horn of Africa with Germany every couple months. Wish I had your destinations on my list.
  13. ^ Yea but also remember as kids we were all taught that a house will never go down in value either. I would have no problem owning a condo. However I tend to buy things I plan on keeping for a long time.
  14. I have severe environmental allergies in the states. However when I moved to Qatar I went from taking 2-3 claritins a day to not having any in 3 months. No plants over here to have an allergy to I guess.
  15. Yea I knew the ranger I-beams wouldnt work. Just was saying that there were companies back in the early 90s that made them and went out of business, and it took some searching to find somebody that had a pair they wanted to sell. But congrats on the build, makes me want to tackle another truck.
  16. The state inspection isnt that bad as long as you have all the receipts from the rebuild. Me and my dad bought two totaled acura integras, one hit in the back and one in the front. We just cut the cars in half and welded the two good halves back together. Car passed inspection, however this was about 12-13 years ago.
  17. I was able to buy dropped i-beams for my 88 ranger. But it took 2 years of searching so it is what it is
  18. This is what I keep telling my younger brothers. I served six years in the Air Force doing SATCOM. Been out since 2009 and have contracted overseas since. I dont pay taxes till after my first 95,000 of the year and my salary is north of 150k in Qatar with company provided house/car, and your allowed to drink here. I also did a year and half in Afghanistan which is worth an extra hundred dollars a day on what I do now. None of it would be possible with out the Air Force. Also dont be too worried about the desert, just do your job the right way. Ive been on at least 40 convoys and countless helicopter rides, and while there was some dicey moments. It wasnt anything that we couldnt overcome and all of us came home.
