  1. Bought the fuel cell from summit and the return line fitting was there. However my return line was smaller than my sending one so I had to change out the AN fitting and make a washer for the smaller fitting (Wasnt hard just bought a smaller fuel tank fitting from JEGS). Fuel cell is a 16 gallon just measure in-between the fuel rails and compare dimensions online for the right size tank. I have about 450 in the fuel system including tank, line, pump, filter.
  2. Between the post 9/11 bill and the montgomery gi bill one pays you, other pays the school and some housing. Honestly im lost and when I talk to people at the VA i tend to get a varying degree of answers. Ive been told you can use the montgomery and switch it to to the post 9/11 at your 3 year mark and get an extra year of eligiblity. (I cant find that piece of information anywhere.) I do know that if you stop going to classes you lose the housing allowance. So maybe cut back on the classes to where you still qualify as a full time student. And Ohio was rumored to pay your tuition if your a veteran but it was mis-interpeted. Every vet qualifys for in-state tuition fees, which is good for me as of right now Im a Georgia citzen.
  3. Had another thread on this but it was closed out that link is http://www.columbusracing.com/forums/showthread.php?t=76432&highlight=ranger Anyway its been slower than I thought it would be. So far to date cab is painted but not finished. Frame has been sandblasted painted and all fuel, fuel lines and drive train has been installed. Engine has been bored over to a 306, Aluminum heads, Edelbrock intake, 750cm carb, and shorty hooker headers, custom radiator to fit. Everything is polished except the power-steering pump. Had a 8.8 rearend rebuilt and shortened to fit w/3.73 gears, C6 trans rebuilt had to make a custom trans cross-member. I thought this would be easier since I had already installed a V8 in it previously. However its much harder to do it the right way and make things look good than it is to just get it running. http://i767.photobucket.com/albums/xx315/mattkeenusaf/engineside.jpg http://i767.photobucket.com/albums/xx315/mattkeenusaf/rearend.jpg http://i767.photobucket.com/albums/xx315/mattkeenusaf/dash.jpg http://i767.photobucket.com/albums/xx315/mattkeenusaf/front.jpg http://i767.photobucket.com/albums/xx315/mattkeenusaf/overengine.jpg http://i767.photobucket.com/albums/xx315/mattkeenusaf/cab.jpg
  4. Looking for advice on attending school, and I’m looking to make a career change. But first here's my summary: I served 6 years in the Air Force, choose to get out worked a year as a contractor in Afghanistan, now I have a secure steady job in Atlanta, GA making $30hr. I currently have a son further south that I provide child support and health insurance for. I work in the satcom / network industry and its technical but not too tough. However, I really don't like / appreciate what I do for a living, I was able to get this job because my friend is a grad of Georgia Tech with a EE degree, and it so happens I am the only one that works in this building without a degree. Not having a degree isn't what bothers me its just that without one I’m never going to progress passed the middle point on the totem pole. Also I have a family business in the auto/real-estate area that I will one day be responsible for, however I know jack about good business decisions. So here's my question how do I afford school without getting burned out. Here is my current plan: I have the GI Bill which will pay up to 2500 per semester and 1096 per month in housing. But once I start it I only have three years till it expires, which means I have 3 years to graduate. Also I thought about taking a job with UPS, and from what I have heard will cover health benefits, and immediately start paying up to 1500 a semester in tuition even on a part time basis. I have a house back in Columbus that I rent out for $600 monthly (it’s in the ghetto) that the lease runs out on in August, I could live there or just keep renting it out and live with my mother either way I don’t care. So my question how possible is it to attend Ohio State (which is my first choice) and take care of my priorities at the same time? Also how have others on this board been able to pursue a higher education while taking care of their family?
  5. Hated this movie when I first saw it, then me and a couple buddies started talking about it and laughing at the dumbness of it and now its pretty funny. Tropic Thunder worked out this way for me too.
  6. My fault, i dont come around here much anymore.
  7. Looking for tires today.'02 Ford explorer cab ya help?
  8. Haven't been in Columbus in over a year. Wondering if any place has any deals on tires right now for a 02 explorer?
  9. Just came back from Colombia, great time. Ibizia in the spring.
  10. Appreciate it not sure how you make a 0 look like a 7 but the guy that built my engine managed to do it. Hopefully thats the only thing he screwed up.
  11. I order an engine 7 months ago, and I just got back from Afghanistan and cant remember what the hell I purchased. Also I cant read the guys hand writing as it looks like 376 cu in. on the spec sheet. Well here is the specs its a 302 block: Block: 302 Bore: 4.030 Stroke: 3.00 Compression: 10.2 Heads Int. Valve Size: 202 Exh Valve Size: 160 Chamber Size: 64cc Cam Int. Lift: 496 Exh Lift: 520 Duration @ .050: 224-234 Lobe Seperation: 112 Advertised Duration: 300-310 Cam Idle: Fair to Rough Thats the info I have on my spec sheet. To be honest I really dont know what most of these numbers mean. Im just curious as to what size the motor is now.

    Lebron

If Lebron leaves are any of you going to be able to watch Cleveland basketball again? It doesn't seem anybody's job is safe from GM to Mike Brown, looks like the Cavs might be turned upside down.
  13. I can vouch for this, a lack of being responsible on my part + girl I was seeing at the time (supposedly on BC) = kid, and me having to deal with issues on our kid for the rest of my life. Not at all a bad situation, just it's going to be harder on my kid because I don’t want to be with her. So advice to the younger guys that were like me trying to capitalize on every piece of ass that walked by... It’s just not having a kid you have to deal with, it’s her as well and any decision on your offspring from sports, discipline, to money will most certainly have to go through her. Still I’m happy. And I don’t believe I would always remember to a take sperm killing pill. Besides the only reason that birth control pill for women/men exist or are going to exist is because they haven’t developed a pill for 'commonsense'.
  14. Saw this when I first moved to Georgia 6 years ago. It was a ford explorer painted up as a Newport ciggarette pack.
  15. My surgery was hell, took 6 hours and was awake for the whole thing. After the surgery was done the doctor asked me if I drank alot, b/c the meds didn't work well for me. Even though I told her that pain medicines are less effective on me than others, same goes for my mother. I ate yogurt, jello soft stuff like that my first day. Then campbells soup the 2nd, and then by the third I was good enough to eat PnB sandwhiches which works extremely well if you dunk the thing in milk before you eat it. After 4 days I was back to pretty much normal.
  16. Congrats on the 10 years. I have met you years ago, and thought you were a standup guy. I will send my vehicle your way when its ready (if I can ever stop tearing it apart and starting over).
  17. I got my start in the IT world by joining the Air Force. Six years later I get offers typically around $55 an hour (stateside), full benefits, stock options, full-time. Just saying if your looking to start your future, dont waste too much time. Four years your up and running. I joined at 18 now Im 25 making pretty good money, been around the world, and have alot of room to grow. Downfall is I work alot, never see my kid, and have only seen Ohio once in 7 years.
  18. Dont worry there's hope for us big headed people. That's why I like the RayBan Aviators. Not for everyone and havent really been a hit since TopGun, still I like em'. These are the four I have; Gold frame/polarized lenses Silver frame/polarized lenses Gold frame/chrome lenses Silver frame/chrome lenses
  19. Sorry to hear about your unfortunate event, and it's good to see you taking pre-cautionary measures to avoid/confront the next event. Guess my luck is worse than most people's. I normally pretty much have a good idea on who has robbed me, and typically its always a family member/friend with major drug use issues. Its been a couple years since Ive lived back in C-bus, but from what I understand heroin is the drug of choice now, and all my past friends are either users or small-time dealers. C-bus certaintly doesn't have the same "feel" to it that I remember. Its a shame, for the longest time I wanted to move back, now Im 50/50 on it.
  20. "The car was confiscated by police until the hearing but Mr Hutton now hopes to get it back. " Lol.
  21. Thanks for the post, Im going to Rio for New Years with some friends. Thats another reason I was going to avoid it during november.
