  1. Lost my shit when I saw his name was Tathan. Add in the fact that his sister looks like the Joker now...the parents failed their kids at every step.

Picks of said sister? wait found her... https://www.instagram.com/rylee_martell/?hl=en

He has a big mouth but apparently is scared to compete by making this move. He talked very tough against fields, but must not have belief in himself to duck and run this quickly.

I also wonder if there is some other target signing in February which he caught wind of. Because as it stands loosing Tathan would not be ideal for the depth chart.

Where is Hurts going to end up at?

  2. So rumor is Tampa is offering Kelly 10 Million a year for him to leave ND which is double his salary at ND. So guess who isn’t a head coach and guess what job may come open sooner than anyone thought.

Urban will not coach at Notre Dame.

Kelly at Tampa will fail, really any coach that heads down there will. His no BS hard ass coaching style will not work. It is a QB league, if you're unlucky to have a bad one or even avg your stint will be short. However if you can make 10 million a year, and get a 2-3 year deal, sign on the dotted line, especially once you realize ND will only ever get sorta close to a title.

  3. With Indian summer yesterday, I started working on the paver walls and fire pit for my patio poured a while back.

I have not glued the top caps down yet as I have some hardscape lights coming this week that I have to install yet. But the wall wasn't too bad to build solo. I have the wire run already for the lighting as well. Still have the curved fire pit area seating wall to build yet. Hoping for another decent weekend in the 40's.

  4. Practiced some carpentry skills.

Found some rough sawed cedar new 16's in a dumpster near a build that was happening. Went and saved those from the dump and put them to use. (And saved myself $3-4 hundred)

Moved the thermostat down about 8 inched and re sealed the dry wall. Oh and I installed a whole home humidifier at the same time! Wired into the smart thermostat, so far its working well.

Also did some board and batten work. Had the paint laying around, we like the results. All in I think I have $160 in the sum of everything.

You can see in the masking shot my youngest son wanted to help tape...

  5. I have this weird feeling we're going to crush Michigan. And I am the first person to freak out when we go down 7-0, and go into most games with really low confidence.

For whatever reason, we have their number. Revenge tour or not, I feel like it'll be a bloodbath.

Our defense cant stop the little sisters of the poor.

Mighigans 24082084802 returning starters will stop our "champion" offensive line and all our offense. If we hit 250 total offense we might only loose by 21.

Our O-Line is poor...Here comes LJ to talk to about how Prince is most improved, high grades, its just scheme or some crap...Just watch them and it is very obvious they cant move the line of scrimmage. Who gives a shit what they "grade" out at; when you cant win a match up 1v1 that is all the matters. This whole grading thing is a participation award gimmick.

Defensive line is poor...Dremont is a no body with out Bosa taking 2 blockers. Young is above average, but no world beater, they all get pushed around and lack discipline. Again no control at the line, VW bus lanes for opponents to run through.

Which leads you to our "5 stars" in the secondary and line backing core. Borland cant figure out which way a play is going, so he just goes the opposite. Someone check Harrison for a pulse, he must have one I guess because he is on the field but its hard to tell because he doesn't know how to make a tackle. The rest of the LB's must watch Harrison and Borland and think that is the way to play, because they are non existent as well.

Secondary, well its all the in NFL...These current guys wont be. None of them...(Maybe 1 in the 219th round)

Funny enough it is a great season on paper at 10-1.... But you have seen the same steaming pile of poo all year we just have been fortunate that the B1G is terrible, like big 12 level dumpster fire. No rushing attack for 5 games, a defense that let TCU, Indiana, Minnesota, Nebraska, Maryland, Purdue, ect all put up large amounts of yardage and points. Thankfully we fooled ourselves last week with MSU, because dang their offense cant even be defined as bad, they just shouldn't even hit the field.

Michigan will control us. 6 Years in a row was fun, it is okay to loose and we will. Just pray at night it is not a complete ass kicking.

  6. Yeah he needs more time to see live pass rush and adapt to it. He also needs another year with Mickey Marrotti

I am sure he will have the insurance policy purchased soon...if he returns.

It could be A smart investment really if he can get another 6-10 million guaranteed based on draft position assuming he is top three, vs right now he is not.

  7. NOAA is forecasting a warm winter...you should be good to plant for the next couple of weeks. Planting now will dramatically improve root growth over the winter and lead to a much better growth in the spring.

I still need to split/transplant some hostas and aerate/over seed my lawn soon...

I like the NOAA prediction! I aerated and over seed about 2 weeks ago, hope it works.

The local guys by me in Sunbury are blowing out some trees , shrubs, annuals (50-80% off to end the season). So I am going to try and get over tomorrow and snag some azelas, hydrangeas, boxwood, river birch trees, and I am relocating some arborvitaes to the pad area as well.

  8. While there is still a fair amount left to do on the patio but me and Sam Demeter Construction poured a nice stamped concrete patio two weeks ago.

Got 5 yards of topsoil I have created some beds around the patio. Need to try and find some plants and may mulch before winter, may just wait until spring though.

Also have pavers on order at Oberfields to put up some seating walls around the fire pit area, grill pad, and table area. Have hardscape lighting also to wrap in...Lots of effort still to go, but its getting there.

  9. Alabama does it

    They have a good payroll.

The verdict was in after Penn State. The sentence was given at Minnesota. Season over, way before this game. Both lines are sub standard. No above average line play. No above average team.

The good news is they can still have a great season, but will need to turn it around quickly and fix all those mistakes to beat the bye next week.

  10. If you go back and read what I said, I didn't actually say I had "good parenting" as a privilege full stop. I had parents who had certain skills to help me when I needed them. In terms of my academics I had a few teachers that inspired me more than my folks did (although, to be fair my parents did pay cash for good grades and gave me a job delivering reports for their business when I was 14). I had friends that got that same assistance I got from my parents from other programs and people helping them and went on to do just as well.

For the most part, I was a latchkey kid growing up. I was about 8 years old when their business took off, and they worked long hours 6 days a week. I didn't see them till bed time most days and then Sunday we would do something as a family. I am not about to go out and say my parents were bad parents - but I will say from personal experience that this notion of "good parents" is highly over rated, and when it comes to academics is less effective in some circles than role models at school who have more experience than other people's parents at certain things.

If you are a parent and you have never applied to college, it doesn't matter how "good" a parent you are considered - you aren't going to have the skills necessary to be competitive in the admissions market for getting your child into college. You parents could be "great parents" and very involved and even be college educated, but if you are poor or live in a rural area, you just aren't going to get the same quality of education from the public school system for college prep than someone living in a rich suburb, and therefore won't be competitive in the admissions process.

I am not saying good parenting vs bad parenting is not a factor - it certainly is, esp when we consider "bad parenting" to include abusive relationships, but after a certain level of "good" it just gets to be less and less important.

thinking all of the problems in the US education system can be substantially improved by "good parenting" is just straight up bullshit.

yeah and what's your point? we are talking about the US and it's problems. This drivel is no more relevant to the conversation than discussing how to colonize the moon. Yeah there are worse places in the world, but using that as an excuse for why we shouldn't continue to improve our existing system is not just stupid, it's straight up lazy.

Mr data and facts, making it up as you go, shooting from the hip.

You're just a comb over away from the presidency.

  11.

But you can not deny he was worked like a cheap trick yesterday. That is a fact.

And he looked the same against PSU...

The O-Line is 100% a concern. We know our defense is just going to ship points and pray for turnovers.

  12. The amazing part is how crooked this really is, think stadium deals are bad...I cant for the life of me understand why these cities strip away all dignity in hopes of becoming a temple worship ground for Bezos. In reality that is essentially the same equivalent of what is going on, bad bad bad policy. The left cries about wealth redistribution but then is completely cool with this non-sense and free ride while their ideologue rolls in billions and billions and its cool cause prime. Kind of mind bending really, we breakup Microsoft in 99 or 98 whatever, then allow Amazon where they are headed, again because muh prime doe.

But more people have prime then will vote in November, so I guess does it matter?

  13. Looks really good, always wanted to do our 2nd floor laundry kinda like this but figured I'd wait til we have a house with a mud room/laundry room. Where were the cabinets from

Sent from my SM-G928V using Tapatalk

Just home depot cabinets, nothing fancy for the laundry room, but nice enough. I added some "rustic" pulls to them after this picture.

  14. That's the idea: why kill good publicity if you can get paying parties in both cities to pony up for a franchise???

The franchisor is the only winner then really; but they always are.

Dilutes the rest of the teams lol

  15. I like the petition for Lebron to run the department of education. Liberals/Progressives cry scream and moan education is the only way; so lets get a guy who barely graduated high school to run the country's education system because you know Betsy is retarded and cant put up triple doubles.

He did a good thing with his earnings by building his (PR relations) school. However that school will also cost a fair amount to the local tax payers over the course of time and they will pay much more then Lebrons start up funding. That is not to say it is a bad move, it still is a good move just realize its not nearly as sweetheart of a deal as it is sold.
