  1. bt what oil/fluid do I put in the transmission. Found this in a T5 manual "2-4. APPROVED LUBRICANT. Most T5 transmission models use DexronÒ II automatic transmission fluid. Refer the vehicle owner’s manual or service manual for lubricant specifications. CAUTION Do not mix different bands or types of transmission lubricant. DO NOT USE GEAR OIL IN THE T5 TRANSMISSION SINCE THIS MAY DAMAGE THE BLOCKING RING MATERIAL." so auto transmission fluid? Can some one confirm this.
  2. I'm just not sure where I can get it done at around here and would rather not remove it unless I really need to. Some say it's fine, just clean it something while others say it need turned
  3. suppose I left the flex plate how it is. Clutch wouldn't last long or what?
  4. besides the obvious flea markets? I'd love to find an old 40-50's pedal car.
  5. Was thinking about it but this thing doesn't leak a bit of oil. Not even a drop. It leaks other shit though lol Can I just use some sandpaper by hand? If so, what grit? I'm assuming I just want some shine without cutting a bunch off right?
  6. maybe I will do it then. It is just a beater but I don't want to have to tear it back down any time soon. Just a wire wheel on a drill or what?
  7. debating on having a local shop do this for me. I don't have a torque wrench:o
  8. 1. How hard is it to replace the seal on the front of my rearend? I know there's a name for it but I can't think of it. It's making a mess as seen in this pic: http://i31.tinypic.com/30b01nr.jpg 2. Can you tell by looking at this pic if this flex plate is okay shape to use? http://i32.tinypic.com/15ewikw.jpg Here's the reason for making that awful noise in the video from my other thread: http://i26.tinypic.com/zw0o6w.jpg
  9. waste of money seeing how you could do this with your old one easily
  10. I may have found a copy. It doesn't have many seeders so I can't be sure as of yet. If it's the right episode I'll host it for you. It might take a while since my upload speed sucks. I'll edit this once it's downloaded and I know if it's it for sure.
  11. http://witchmountain.info/ lol
  12. I noticed on the s10 it appears the bell housing can be removed from the transmission. Can I leave the bell housing bolted to the engine and remove the transmission to make things a little lighter for me? Then reverse this when installing the new one? Mount the clutch and bell and then the transmission? I've always done this as a whole but will be doing this one myself and I'm in a tight spot so if I can do this it will be a lot easier on me.
  13. I can understand being angry but making this thread is kind of a dickhead move. You could had easily stated in the for sale thread that the bike was in worse condition than the owner was telling.
