  1. Audi/BMW/Mercedes Until I can afford to pay cash for them, I can't afford to maintain them. There are reasons that extended warranties exist, because typically they bring more money in then they pay out. This is standard business and typical in all insurance. If it wasn't profitable, they would have done it. You would have been better to put $4g's in a savings account and waited. Good luck though......
  2. I completely agree. The reason that his "force" seemed so brutal, is it looked like he was trying to be gentle at first. I always wondered why cops are so freaking forceful.....now I'm begining to understand why. He may have not used too much force, but he certainly gave the illusion he did.................and the punch my be a tad on the no-no side.
  3. Well, if the dollar get's cheap..........at least we'll get some jobs!!
  4. Pretty simple form, fill it out and see who you get. I was suprised at my answer http://www.vajoe.com/candidate_calculator.html
  5. Quaker". There is a big difference, a baker bakes buns in the oven, while...
  6. Third video down, with regards to how "feminine", she needs to be, etc Unfortunately, I'm just too conservative. Her comment went something like this, "You should vote someone into office who is going to do something better for YOU" I just don't believe in this philosophy. I want to vote someone into office who will get back to the core principles that made this country great. Our country is great because we fight from the trenches, not because the government mandates it. I think some of our country has lost it's spunk.....because we've forgotten how to earn our rights and privelages......and now so many expect them to be given out by the government.
  7. I'll give up any and all of my civil liberties to stop the men who are trying to eliminate my childrens chance at a future. I'm pissed that were not supporting Israel in a stronger sense. I'm pissed of not protecting our coutries future by attacking those who regret our prosperity and aim to destroy it. I'm most of all pissed that the world isn't fair and coming home and hiding in the corner won't solve shit. Giving up some civil liberties now is worth it. I'd rather give some up now to protect all of them in the future, rather than keep them now and have NONE in the future. In my opinion, the only good point about Rudy is that he's centrist enough to grab some of the democratic votes.........while my personal favorite Romney sits back and get's egged.

Chuck had round one for sure, but rounds two and three were all Jardine. Chuck disapointed me last night, that fool needs to get into shape and train with Forrest Griffin!
  9. She does make reproduction sound like a good idea.
  10. You make a very good point from people profiting from the "wellness" of others, but that is very true in all walks of life. But the reason why our health care system is on the cutting edge is because there is money to be made. If there was no profit to be made in the health care industry, the health care industry would begin to disapear.....hospitals would start to go out of business and there would be a lot more funeral homes in operation. There is another ring of truth when you say that "hospitals" are expanding.....that's because people have the money to spend on health care and all of the "boomers" are really starting to need it. They are the ones with all the money and they want to stay alive!! I can't fall for the system keeping the man down philosophy, it's just too depressing. There are two things that make me realize that government controlled healthcare won't work. #1 - Social Insurance and Medicare have failed.......they have been bankrupt for a long time #2 - I am POA for my 90 great aunt. We recently have made a couple of different trips to the hospital for a variety of reasons. You know what the first words coming out of their mouths before a procedure is performed......"Is she Medicare or Private Insurance" HEALTHCARE IS A PRIVELAGE, NOT A RIGHT.
  11. I was waiting for the right wording LJ, not a housing bubble, but a mortgage bubble. The price increases were all just a big pendulum, if they were artificially pushed up a little bit, they will artificially be pushed down for a little bit. It's just like a stock market with a "correction". Right now is a great time to buy a house..........and a horrible time to be selling one!
  12. If Rudy get's office....here is what I will do: 1.) Thank God 1a.) ....That Hillary or Obama isn't in office 1b.) .....That Ron Paul wasn't elected The big fear is that Rudy will "take away guns" from everyone!! Like he did in New York, etc, etc. Well, Rudy has spoken about this on several occasions and informed the public that he felt that it was the states place to restrict these rights as they saw fit. I mean honestly, I feel like this is your campaign to get everyone to listen to "Ron Paul in '08".........and I think everyone else smells what the Thorne is cooking.....but Ron Paul is just too much Libertarian for the world.
  13. Renting is perfectly fine for temporary periods of time, such as new to an area, not sure how long your going to be there, etc. Renting however is not a way of life and based upon the price of the house, in relation to it's potential value, renting may or may not be better than buying. There are trillions of different options. I lived in a rented house that was renting for $400 in 2005 and $500 in 2006......we liked the place, but the rent was going to go up again, so we thought what a great time to get into the market. Our home was built in 2001 It sold for $155,000 Westerville schools, Columbus taxes, etc Appraised last year by the "tax man" for 164k We bought it for 129k. I couldn't see walking away from this steal, because it's a house I know we can afford.
  14. In the end, the hard work of maintaining a house will be worth the freedoms that you come to expect from home ownership.
  15. Yea, delivering pizza seems to be where it's at......or a waiter, due to the "cash flow" Keep em coming though. I work a regular 8-5 job, so it has to be in the evenings.
  16. I'm sure it's crossed everyone's mind at some point. I've been thinking that maybe I should grab another job......a part time gig, just to earn some extra cash. I'd like to earn about 800-1000 extra a month with about 20 hours worth of work. I've thought of delivering pizzas......but I'm not 100% sold on that yet(my wife thinks it's dangerous) Any other suggestions?
  17. Further evidence that Jesus hates us.
  18. I have used the Griffin iTrip, the model that get's plugged into the cigarette lighter and also charges the ipod at the same time. It's a pretty good piece, it just sounds like a slightly shitty FM station........which means that it's doing it's job.
  19. Simply put.....there aren't enough boots on the ground We have roughly 140,000 troops out there, with one hand tied behind their backs 140,000 troops/1 hand behind each back = 70,000 troops Most folks don't understand the implications of this entire series of events. It's like finding out about Hitler's ideas before the death camps.....but before he has a chance to act, we strike and people cry. If we don't show we're willing to stay strong through the fight, we are IN TROUBLE.
  20. It's still about the oil, but not in the context you are speaking. It's about not Americans taking over refineries and inheriting all the wealth that is "big oil". It's about making sure there are the least amount of crazy, radilicalized fools thinking that chaos and destruction should be the way of life. I laugh at $3 gas.......I'm just happy it's not $6/gallon yet. Some folks just don't understand how good they have it.
  21. The BIGGEST problems with the Iraq war: 1) We didn't come in with all guns blazing, not enough of a presence, no SHOCK AND AWE. That was a strategic failure. 2) If you walk away, you lose on more than just the war. 3) Bush is quite possibly the worlds most idiotic communicator. We should have came in a lot stronger in this war, I'm no general, but I think that we've got much bigger balls than we displayed the first year or so. There are no WMD's. Iraq did not attack us on 9/11. Osama is not caught yet. Blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. These are all mediocre at best talking points. Have we not figured out the bigger picture? It's not about avenging our killers. We are trying to get them, but that's not the overall objective. We are out to create stability in a region of the world that has never seen stability. Why you ask? The bottom line is it's all about the oil and protecting the way of life in The United States of America. Bush isn't going to get rich off of this war and I don't think Cheney will either........you can say all the things you want about how their corrupt, how their in it for the money, etc.....but I think it's a mute point. This war is about bringing the fruits of democracy to a region that has been ruled by dictators for years. It's the equivalent to giving freedom to a woman, who has been beaten by her husband for years and is just too scared to leave. You have to make it happen, you have to show her the way to success, self-rightousness, and get her back on her feet so she can kick HIS ass, the next time he tries to topple her. Our economy is so driven by the oil that we use. That oil represents our strength and our backbone. If you take away the oil, it can crush us into poverty that our country has never known. In many ways our oil represents our freedom. The second part of the equation is putting the smack down on the islamic extremists who think that our freedom is theirs for the taking.
  22. I believe that whether he was at fault or not WILL play a big role, but the ruling on this case would be much larger than his allegation. When someone looks up the value of this car in KBB or NADA, it will be based on year, make, model, mileage and condition.........not by number of accidents. If a car is repaired correctly, it shouldn't be worth any less money unless it was somehow not in the same condition, previous to said accident......which in that case the policyholder should have not accepted the work done. I don't believe that the insurer can allow a car to be repaired if it will not be in "as good as or better than" previous condition.......otherwise they would deem the car a total loss. I think the case might be right 10% of the time, as an informed consumer would probably not pay "market value" for a wrecked car.........however the other 90% of car purchasers in the world don't know about carfax or even know to check it out. Bottom line is there are more idiots than smart people. And insurance companies don't make money hand over fist, some of them actually lose......all it takes is a couple catastrophies and many companies could be wiped out. The stability of the company is in the policyholders best interest and they should hope for profit...........unfortunately, many insurance companies are owned by stockholders, when there should be many more mutual insurance companies whereby you get unused premium back in the form of a refund.
