I couldn't agree with you more on this exact statement. I truly wonder how many of these votes for McCain are votes against "the black man"......"the muslim".......there are so many uninformed people out there and people are just spreading the fear of the apocolypse into them.

Gosh, who misses blow jobs, cigars, and a cat called socks?

I'm rocking a Stearns & Foster. So far, so good. It fits my fat ass, my wife, and two cats on a queen. Works very well!!

Have you met her? Maybe she deserved it??

Wiretapping.....seriously. Fuck privacy on a phone call. Privacy is a false hope. If you think anything you do is private, your are misguided. I wouldn't mind if my life's conversations were archived. Seriously, what's the deal......it's not like everything you do on the computer can't be traced already.

Well if you don't have a job, you don't pay taxes........there is no tax rate lower than zero?
-
I'm still waiting for 99 cents..........that's a stimulus package.

There is a tax loophole that may allow you to not pay income tax........but try and stop them. It's ignorant to think that a casino would be built and no tax revenue would be collected.

Dr. Rick For the last eight years we've had a republican president. For six/eight years we have had a republican congress. But our gov't has gone through some of the largest expansion in my lifetime. Bush has squandered all of any surplus and not truly addressed the deficit. John has been part of all of this, his leadership skills have been subpar. But this notion that Obama will spend us into oblivion may be TRUE.......but at least he's telling us what he's going to do. I don't remember that from Bush's campaign speeches. Obama has stated that he will reinstate PAYGO, which does not allow any new spending without the proportional tax increase. This idea brings some level of accountability to spending............who removed the PAYGO rules previously, the genius republicans. I think that if we reinstate PAYGO, they'll be some more accountability in our congressional spending.

Post of the year!!!! Your fucking hilarious! ......or maybe I'm the only one that thinks it's funny.

I give the nod to Obama. I didn't catch it all, but what I did catch.....McCain makes me want to die. He is so politician, Mr. Robato. The more McCain speaks, the more I realize that he doesn't understand your average American. Obama does. But I already voted.....so does it matter....

So it sounds corny, but I had my first 15 minute massage by a professional masseuse. It was a 15 minute session that was quite simply AMAZING. Does anyone else regularly get a massage at any place? Hot stone? Anything like that? Feel free to chime in with your "happy ending" jokes.

Nice response!!!

OBG.....I'm just trying to incite discussion. I don't think that people are paying attention. Folks at my job are talking about how Obama is a Muslim and how there is no proven "certified" birth certificate. Do average folks just sweep this under the 30 years ago rug? I'm ok with that. Don't mistake my inquisitiveness for stupidity, I just wonder what you folks are thinking about these specific issues. We hear enough about the witchcraft, humans walked with dinosaurs.....just trying to throw up the other side.

Me too.........but is terrorist now officially a race? I'm just interested in how people think it's acceptable to support someone who bombs America........I mean, he's as guilty as OJ for sure.
-
Gosh you can cite so many sources on this, but what in the hell is a presidential candidate doing associating with someone who feels they didn't do enough when bombing...... Now, Obama has "reputiated" his actions....but continues to associate with him. Accepting donations, sitting on boards with him, and just being associated with a KNOWN terrorist.....is this acceptable for someone who wants to be president of the United States. http://blog.washingtonpost.com/fact-checker/2008/02/obamas_weatherman_connection.html

Got it in an email.....so the validity is untested This little story about some beer drinkers explains a lot. A good lesson for our country. Suppose that every day, ten men go out for beer and the bill for all ten comes to $100. If they paid their bill the way we pay our taxes, it would go something like this: The first four men (the poorest) would pay nothing. The fifth would pay $1. The sixth would pay $3. The seventh would pay $7. The eighth would pay $12. The ninth would pay $18. The tenth man (the richest) would pay $59. So, that's what they decided to do. The ten men drank in the bar every day and seemed quite happy with the arrangement, until one day, the owner threw them a curve. 'Since you are all such good customers, he said, 'I'm going to reduce the cost of your daily beer by $20. Drinks for the ten now cost just $80. The group still wanted to pay their bill the way we pay our taxes so the first four men were unaffected. They would still drink for free. But what about the other six men - the paying customers? How could they divide the $20 windfall so that everyone would get his 'fair share?' They realized that $20 divided by six is $3.33. But if they subtracted that from everybody's share, then the fifth man and the sixth man would each end up being paid to drink his beer. So, the bar owner suggested that it would be fair to reduce each man's bill by roughly the same amount, and he proceeded to work out the amounts each should pay. And so: The fifth man, like the first four, now paid nothing (100% savings). The sixth now paid $2 instead of $3 (33%savings). The seventh now paid $5 instead of $7 (28%savings). The eighth now paid $9 instead of $12 (25% savings). The ninth now paid $14 instead of $18 (22% savings). The tenth now paid $49 instead of $59 (16% savings). Each of the six was better off than before And the first four continued to drink for free. But once outside the restaurant, the men began to compare their savings. 'I only got a dollar out of the $20', declared the sixth man. He pointed to the tenth man,' but he got $10!' 'Yeah, that's right', exclaimed the fifth man. 'I only saved a dollar, too. It's unfair that he got ten times more than I!' 'That's true!!' shouted the seventh man. 'Why should he get $10 back when I got only two? The wealthy get all the breaks!' 'Wait a minute,' yelled the first four men in unison. 'We didn't get anything at all. The system exploits the poor!' The nine men surrounded the tenth and beat him up. The next night the tenth man didn't show up for drinks, so the nine sat down and had beers without him. But when it came time to pay the bill, they discovered something important. They didn't have enough money between all of them for even half of the bill! And that, boys and girls, journalists and college professors, is how our tax system works. The people who pay the highest taxes get the most benefit from a tax reduction. Tax them too much, attack them for being wealthy, and they just may not show up anymore. In fact, they might start drinking overseas where the atmosphere is somewhat friendlier. David R. Kamerschen, Ph.D. Professor of Economics, University of Georgia ..... Does it make sense now?

I was being facicious in regards to the short term market swings. I have talked to my grandparents about the Great Depression. My great grandfather had a rather large farm. And when the problems hit, he lost his it. Forced to move to the city....depressed by the turmoil, blew his head off. I'm good. I do worry about others too. My buddies with multiple credit cards, adjustable rate mortgages, and cars that they are backwards on. I don't know about bank runs, but I've never experience anything like that in my life. I guess......we'll see.
