This stuff is just silly. Folks who follow that line of teaching, don't fall in line with what I believe, but they have the right to do as they want. Thorne, I've met some crazy Christians over the last year. They can be pretty extreme in their beliefs.....some by ignorance and some by plain stupidity. But not all can be placed in the same group. If I was ever at a church that condoned that methodology of teaching, I would leave.

It is quite comical that there seems to be such "need" for our assistance. I request at least one year of isolationism(not economically) for the next president. Can we just say, ok......2010, "The rest of the world....your on your own" We have some things we need to focus on we need to spend at least one year on them. Please hold and the next available representative will be with you begining in 2011. I'm going overboard, but sometimes I just wish we could focus on us here at home before jumping abroad.

And on whom is it ok to raise them on? We keep talking about how tax increases will hamper businesses and the consumer, but it seems like there never is a good time. I understand that the large majority would say "never raise them during a downturn".......but realistically?????? Is there ever a good time to raise them? Why do people think that the government can do better things with money than "WE THE PEOPLE" can? It's obvious that there is a funding gap in our national budget and I'm not sure how people think we are going to bridge that gap? The only way is to decrease the increases and increase the revenue. More coming in, less going out. It's unrealistic to think that we could cut the size of gov't down........no one has done this in a LONG time.

I've got a former pal that's locked up who is a gang member. He is a part of GD, but it's the only thing he has to cling to. No religion, no hope, just trying to survive. I need help with trying to help my buddy get away from the gangs in prison......but it seems immpossible. If he abandons his gang, other "rival" gangs will attack him and he has already been stabbed on multiple occasions.

Does everyone agree with a flat tax? Let's not argue about the specifics, like the % or standard deductions/tax credits. Do you agree with the idea? Doesn't matter if you make $1000 or 20 million, you pay "x" percentage.......Is it fair?

On the flip side, at least we might be better next year?? Not disapointed......I got what I expected. We were suppose to lose and we did. Both teams, well coached, well played........but the team that made less mistakes won, point blank. No penalties, no turnovers.....and capitalizing on the other sides mishaps, sounds like a recipe for success. Penn State was the better team last night. I still think we're a top 12-13 team.
