The guy is Nordic. Probably from Norway or some shit. There were some fucked up foreign shows on that list as well.

You mean, does it say "Doyle Brunson JR" when we post? No. That's just you.

Sorry Joel, but that's bullshit. Bush is not honest. The reason we are going through a recession is the fact that we have a republican president. Intelligent people were able to predict that directly after the election. As far as doing what is right rather than popular, is that how you explain the $300 check that every tax paying American gets every year now? What kind of shit is this? We can't afford to pay bills as a country, but we can give rich people money that the government doesn't have? The tax credit is a joke anyway; take a look at the pay cuts most Americans have had over the last 4 years. Know of anyone losing their job or taking a cut in pay? Yup, you sure do. Several, in fact. When you average that amount in witht he amount of tax credit we are getting back, it doesn't exactly even out. Take a look back at the 84 election, dude. It wasn't even close. No matter how much you want to compare Bush to Reagan, the man isn't even close. Reagan was charismatic and intelligent. Take a look at what the numbers were election day. You think it'll be a landslide this year? If I were a betting man, I'd say "no". And why is that? Is it because there is some conspiracy, or that people are scared of Bush's "boldness"? DOUBT IT. I haven't been impressed with anything I've seen in the last four years. As far as his keeping quiet when he knows he has nothing to hide...You mean like he did when he was questioned about drug use, or dunk driving? Or does that fall under the category of "doing the right thing"? Bush has been bashed by the media? Apparently you don't watch Fox news, which is surprising. This country is split right down the middle this year. It's going to be an ugly election. I don't like that. But that's the way it's going to be. I don't expect to change your opinion Joel. As a matter of fact, I bet any valid point I have gets a roll of the eyes from you. I just wanted to let you know I was listening, and I'm calling BS.

I don't understand what's wrong with what you have now. Why not just add a 150 shot to your current setup? That would fatten up your bottom end.

Jeep. Also, if you can get that turbo six out of Australia; you know, the one that makes more power than the 5.4 DOHC...Yeah...That'd be the one to have. Marc, shutup. V6 is a waste. If you can't get a V8 in the fenderwells, why could you fit a V6? They're the same width.

Man, my grandmother will be here this weekend. It's the first time in the 8 years we've been married that she is visiting. I guess she'll get to babysit, huh?

I guess what we need to know is bolt pattern and offset...You know, if we want them to fit our cars and all... -

I thought the topic was: I own you all in A Golf Thought it was a VW thread.

I'm in, provided I am in town.

Dude, I think you have some serious self-worth issues. Don't juggalos have feelings, too?
-
Glad you all got that out of your systems. You all seem to think you know me as the word juggalo by the ones you see on the street. (Actually that sentence doesn't even make sense) So thats who I decided to play, and well, you provided me with great material for a paper on group psych. I'm sure ill get an A. See (you all) Saturday at Jegs . There. That's better.

Won't those newly employed people pay taxes? With less people on welfare, and social programs, wouldn't that free up money for other things? Come on people, think for a second.

Hell, maybe in the future, a jewish man could marry a black woman. This country is just going to hell... Really, wht is the difference between two people living together, and two people living together in a committed relationship where they have legal rights and benefits. Does it really affect you?

Start another thread. This one is about how much Bush sucks.

Fixed. I think there is just as much POTENTIAL in this years model. Loren's is SCREAMING for a blower. I like the GTO. Yet I hate Pontiac...How's that for ironic?

Please see my argument on the 4237SOHC Ford engine mentioned previously. Nitrousbird, the heads you showed flow better at all lift numbers. Let's put things like this: How do aftermarket heads make more power? The answer is the efficiency with which they supply air to the cylinders. If you can get more air into the cylinders more efficiently, then your car has the potential to make more power. You can accomplish this with larger valves, larger or more efficient ports, port length and angle, valve job, and a couple of other factors. If you look at the shape of the combustion chamber, you will always be able to increase the cross sectional area of the valve by switching to a multi valve configuration. It's just geometry. It is up to the engineers to decide on how efficient the ports will be. Fact of the matter is, You will always have the potential to flow more air with a multi valve head. Tinman has some kickass flow numbers on his SB2 heads. No one can argue with that. Compare those (at all valve lift numbers) with the flow numbers on Ponyfreaks 4.6 heads. They are both impressive, but it took far less work to get the numbers on the 4V head. They aren't even aftermarket, it was larger valves and port work to a set of stock heads. Look at what Hensler can do with a 4.6. Al Papito is going 10's in a 5.4 DOHC Mustang N/A. He hasn't even begun to tap the power potential of that combination (and he has plenty of TORQUE). It isn't about which production parts are better, it is a question of design. Can you really say you think the pushrod engine is a superior design as far as that is concerned? wickedpyroclown what the fuck are you talking about? Your argument doesn't make any sense. "Well sure, an airplane is fast, but what about a spaceship?" Let's keep things on track.

I was talking about this argument. You just mentioned previously that what counts is the physical size/weight of an engine: I assume you meant in relation to the amount of power it makes (HP to weight ratio; and also packaging). Let me know if I am wrong. I also did not use the 4.6 as a reference in my argument. I am talking about the configuration of an OHC engine as opposed to their pushrod counterparts. We can sit here all day long and talk about the advantages of specific engines. You just proved to everyone that there are 4V heads for SBC engines that are vastly superior to the 2V heads. This was another point I brought up earlier. The 4V heads have more capability. I feel the same way about OHC engines. With the availability of lighter materials, I think we will begin to see smaller packaging and more power out of smaller displacement. FWIW, Chevrolet also has a 4.6 DOHC car. It has just as much potential, if not more, than the 4.6 Ford engine. Chevy decided not to put it in any cars, and that has been to the detriment of an excellent design. This is not an engine/brand name war. I would like everyones opinion on the DESIGN of modern engines. So far, no one has been able to sway my opinion on OHC engines, and you have provided me with another example of my point that the 4V heads are vastly superior. [ 03. Those are "C" heads...They do have weaknesses... tongue.gif You want a multi-port head.
-
12.0-10.9=1.1...I guess that's close to two. The carbs are a gimme. You can have that one. So let's use the single 4v option, which nets 616HP. Other than that, show me where you can do a cam swap and add an igition and add 226 HP. Have you researched this engine at all? Do you know why it makes more power(hint-PORT SHAPE/ANGLE)? Do you really think that having overhead cams hurts performance? Instead of arguing for arguments sake, do some research. Find out about OHC engines, and what their weaknesses are. I'll wait. Post your results.
