Still have some work to do on the suspension to get the 60 down (and tracking straight), but once we get it dialed in, we'll spray it to break the current Supra IRS record of 7.27 over in the Middle East. Wish I had more time to spend with the car, but I plan on being back at Milan during the June NO ET event and hopefully will get the car further sorted for a July 'kill' pass. All the high hp GTR and TTG's seem to run them with very good results. We've tried DR's and they don't seem to hook as well. We've tried Cup Sports too - same thing, they don't work as well for some reason - I have found the road race tires sidewalls are too stiff. The AMS GTR was very fast. I beat it by a few cars, but started out a good car length out front. Hit was pretty even, but even on their pit limiter building boost, I left harder. Their car traps in the mid 170's, so it was a good race. They said they were running more boost against me than they did in TX2K, so it was on kill mode (as was I). If it was an dead even start and I gave them the hit, doubt I'd be able to pull around them until over 200. It was definitely the 2nd fastest car there. Video should be out in a couple days.

Thanks. 18" R888. A few cars have torn up 3rd gear when spinning the shifts. Kevin has been working with another gear company who challenged us to break one with a full warranty - so should be in my car within next 4 weeks. We've tried 3 different materials, different shot peening techniques, etc. Once the news gears are in along with the billet diff, launch control tuning will be next....

It ran great all weekend. But I was the only Gallardo that kept spinning 3rd, so John and I were just testing different boost settings on that practice run - I let out at the top of 4th. I did pull out in the semifinal round after my 3rd gear was making some odd noises throughout the day. We think we might have broken a tooth - Kevin is pulling the trans tomorrow to check it out. All the 2nd/3rd gear wheel spin may have taken it's toll.

You have been spoon fed theoretical engineering and clearly have no clue what you're talking about. Switzer (and every Porsche tuner around the world) has been building short x piped exhaust systems for years with leading HP and ET/trap records over other designs. Guys, Some of you may know Bill West who did some of my chassis/cage and all the paint work on my Supra. Bill is honestly the most talented paint and body expert I've ever worked with. Some of his other customers have had him repaint brand new cars (crazy, but true) as his work is frankly that much better than OEM. He has just opened his own full time shop based in Akron (he was previously moonlighting in the evenings/weekends) funded by a partner who bought the nicest down draft booth money can buy. Like I said David, I was primarily interested in just getting you to actually lock in a real race as you are known to do more talking than driving. There's no need to be an asshole. So how about this. I've got the same $1k that you will find any excuse not to run me in the next 90 days. Ray has been gracious enough to hold our money in the meantime. Don't let me down David.

I honestly wasn't interested in turning this thread into a shit storm, but seems like you accomplished that all by yourself. As you are so confident in your win, let's lock in a money race with a neutral cbus party holding the punk out money and set a reasonable date for me to come down. We'll make it a fun get together at the IPS shop. In my view, a video is always more fun than winning money, so if you're ok with just a 1k bet, let's lock in the details.

Thanks JP. The drag day was a bit of a cluster fuck as the track wouldn't hook, so we put our larger tires on and pulled a bunch of power out - and still had to lift every pass. Unusual for Lonestar, but the track was seeping water all day. Once I hit 4th it hooks good on the highway. It may appear I'm drifting, but the car is rock solid. I was looking for the camera truck sitting in median and wanted to split lanes to give myself as much room as possible. I'm getting too old for this street stuff - doubt I'll be doing it much longer.

No it wouldn't - only so much you can put down on the road through a front engine rwd car - and more torque would just make it worse.

No. A couple cars are running e85, but no Lambos on meth - not practical for a street car.
