  1. Good job Ray - glad to see its getting faster. But you didn't pull the fronts high enough to carry the beam - Norwalk's 60 ft beam is 10 in. Just looking at your 2nd 60 ft slip should have told you that too....
  2. Ok thanks. I should have done a search first - I now see they have a good reputation. Mods feel free to delete thread.
  3. Has anyone had any experience with these guys? http://www.theroundhouse.ws/Services.html I have a set of OEM CTSV wheels I was thinking of doing a permastar coating (black chrome) and understand they are one of the few GTC dealers in the country. Thanks.
  4. Yes, only minor front splitter damage. Spun after I got airborn from a nasty unknown compression at 195. More to the story, but had a number of angels looking out on us.....
  5. Just to be clear, the first video they let out really early. Not sure when they let out in the 2nd video, but I got out of it around 160. There were cops all over so we quit early.
  6. Agree, although insurance is not bad. My GTR get a lot more attention on the road than I anticipated. I thought it would roll much farther under the radar than it does.
  7. Cool, then you need to drive Cavin's Supra back down to Columbus. It's been in my trailer for awhile and Don needs it out of the shop. And bring the money Cavin owes AP as he won't return Don's call. Don is seriously getting pissed.
  8. Yea, Sean is a douchebag. I've been busting his balls for a couple years now as he was obsessed with my old GT2. Not to mention the sheer number of his idiotic posts. Not sure if you caught my comment - 'come on, these aren't supras' Of course I was pissed a fucked up the 1st race with the boost controller, but oh well, you win some, lose some. The second race would have been interesting if Eric wouldn't have missed the damn shift!
  9. I don't know what you're running this year, but it trapped 143 and ran 206 in the Mile today....so it's running pretty good. He's going to turn it up past 800whp in a couple months with a better fuel system. I think he will be trailering it through later this summer, so I'll let you know if that's the case. As you know, it dead hooks in 2nd gear, so it's a tough car to beat on the street.
  10. Yes. The other GT2 was a similar car but with slightly bigger turbo's, better fuel system, IC's, etc. We dyno'd 732 at slightly higher boost than I ran the car that night. First time I drove it in over two years! The new owner drove the second run but missed 3rd. With some mild updating, it can do over 800whp....
  11. You of all people would really appreciate the literally 800+ cars that show up fri/sat night that race until 5am. Lots of roll/dig races with average hp around 600/700. I'm bringing a street car next year - it's crazy down there.
  12. Yep. He was on an E85 tune, but still making 1250.
  13. That was a good race. You should have seen Stacey's TT Viper right after this race switch 3 lanes when he almost lost it - crazy. My old GT2 went 10.8 at 143 with a 2.2 60 ft. Not bad for 3 year old bolt-on technology!
  14. Yep. We were street racing it Sat night. Had a cop try to pull us over after that race in the video...but we got away Pretty crazy story.
  15. There is a lot of misinformation out there (including this thread). Yes, motors are incredibly expensive right now, but nowhere near $55k. Tym just bought one from Japan for a customer for approx $28k US. The customer blew it up on a Haltech pushing too much boost throught he stock turbos. There are a lot of average shops out there trying to tune these cars that don't understand the specific limits of the GTR. Tym hasn't had a single problem with his 15 700whp kits to date...except for one clutch pack that was his first R&D car that was purposely run hard to find the limits. And he already has the fix for it. Give it time, these cars will be reliable at over 900hp within 6-12 months. The tranny should be reliable too...but at a cost of about $10k for these hp levels. They are not cheap cars to properly modify....but about the same as you would pay for a similar modded 996/997.
  16. We'll be back at the IFO event this year to support the Import community. We've tried 42 twice when we couldn't do Milan/Norwalk and regardless of what they do for us, we just can't get anything done there. Running at 42 made our 5 lift run at Trails last summer look drama free. But let's be sure to coordinate a Cle-Col meet this summer again and I'll run anyone from a dig in my POS gtr.
  17. Ah, that's right, I forgot they changed their private rental policy last summer. Too bad. You all could always take over a Wed night TnT. It's typically not that busy and track is usually still pretty good - much better than 42 at its best.
  18. Not that it should matter much, but I was at your last Norwalk event with many of you guys and ran the IFO event last year that I believe this site supported. I always skip the Trails and 42 rentals, but if you do another Norwalk event and I'm in town, I'll support it. Jamie
  19. It's a very cool build....and there is a chance it will be at TX2K10
  20. Sam, if you want a nice watch, I'd recommend you buy something with decent re-sell value - Corums don't hold value as they are a novelty watch. Personally, I'd buy something pre-owned if you have a budget under $5k that you won't lose 75% if/when you decide to trade up in the future. I bought a Panerai 213 awhile back that I really like. They hold their value as well as any watch on the market and you won't see one every week - at least not in Ohio.
  21. Looks like you're on there plenty yourself Rob....
  22. I don't need to. You don't build anything fast.... The post wasn't beating what Titan MIGHT do in 2010, it was beating the current record. Put your money where your mouth is Rob.
