Packing up to leave in here in a couple hours.
I'll be running one of the PakExp Civics in TTE.
We'll be in garage 28, feel free to stop by.

Looking to trade my RX7, whatcha got?
-
Saw that POS in Johnstown filling up at a gas station. He had to make a 5 point turn just to pull away from the pump.
-
but if theres any other reliable places a bit closer
A 20 minute drive North is too far for you?
-
are you still doing cages ?I think if you ask him anything about cages, his head will explode.
I am still doing cages but as Nate implied, I am backed up at the moment.
Thanks for all the kind words fellas.

More than glad to help. If you think she feels good now, wait untill you get her on the track.
I think between you and the Pakistan Express crew I could almost work a 40 hour week out of my garage.
-
Must be you or really bad luck. I don't know if there is a 3800 that has seen as much abuse as mine has and it still runs perfect.
-
Pick up only. Basic frame, no headboard, everything minus the mattress.
-
Congrats, very nice purchase.
Please don't become one of those pussy Corvette owners, bring it to a track day!
I should specify, a real track day, with turns and such.

Bump
It would cost over $3000 to purchase new and add on the accessories.
-
Can I keep it at your house?
If you allow me to use it for short trips that don't require the enclosed.
-
I'm looking at an enclosed trailer and need to sell my current toy hauler.
2006 16' Quality steel deck trailer
-Slide out ramps covered with tread plate for easy loading/unloading
-Brakes on both axles
-Winch and deep cycle Optima battery in steel enclosure
The 2008s are going for $2800 without all the extras. I'm firm on $2000.

Free bump just because I was talking with someone today about how much of a hoot this thing would be as a DE / track car!
Matt, what's it take to put serious rubber under the car?
Andy
275 is about the max on the rear without touching anything. With a fender pull you can stuff 295s easily. The limit on the front is 245 with no modifications, a little more with a fender roll. Or you can go widebody and fit 275 front, 305 rear with ease.

Found the video. Do you want it posted in here Tinman?
Thanks Jason. She wasn't very impressive that day but feel free to post it.

I think what Nate is getting at is I spend a lot of time helping others on their cars.
I could get her back together pretty easily but I won't have the opportunity to drive her. I have two other cars that I am open lapping and racing right now and she just doesn't fit in my schedule for at least the next two to three years.
-
To those telling me to keep it, I've been waiting for the day when I can get back to work on her but just can't see it over the horizon, it's time she went on to someone else.
To get it back on the road it will need struts, shocks, and springs. Those were pulled to be run in the V6 car. I do have a set of stock rear shocks and springs to help get her rolling. Besides that, some fresh gas and oil, set the valves, and she will fire right up.

That is with the little cam and pump gas. With a bump in compression and the larger cam she should be capable of 700rwhp.
On a bad tune, 480rwhp, she trapped 132mph.
-
Yea, really.
I just don't have the time or space for it anymore. You can see by the layer of dust on her that she has not moved in way too long.

My 69 Camaro. Ran 9.66 @ 137 in street trim with a near stock 454 and a little spray. I should have kept it and built the V8 RX7 a little tamer.

Congratulations, I stopped by once or twice but no one was in the garage, good luck tomorrow.
I think the first events start at 8:00am and run through late afternoon.
My day went pretty well (at least for being a noob). By the end of the day I was starting to get things put together pretty well. Really need to work on my consistency, I will hit a couple of turns great then miss one. It was kind of hard though with a fair amount of traffic, how fast you could go varied greatly every lap. Tomorrow should be better.
Sorry we missed you, been hectic.
Best piece of advice I can give you is LOOK AHEAD It's more than just safety, looking ahead will improve your consistency and lap times.
-
Oh sweet. What time does it all start Matt?
First cars on track around 8:30, last session is around 4:30.
-
How much does it cost to go? Is this the event where 4 bangers race in the morning followed by carts and open wheel later?
Free for spectators. All door cars, no open wheel or carts.

So now I know why our garage is "12A", not because there are separate buildings with multiple bays but because there is no garage 13. Being in the 13th garage probably had nothing to do with our problems but I like to think we will be in a different bay next race. Even after all the problems the Pakistan Express took 1st and 3rd in both of the PTE races today, looking for a 1-2 finish tomorrow.
-
I just got back after a weeks worth of thrashing on the Pakistan Express Civics. They are both ready to rock and waiting in the garage till morning. Stop by and say hey, garage 12A.
