    NHRA sold

I thought it was very cool to see Jim backing up Head into the groove on Saturday's qualifying round, he got quite a bit of TV exposure there And Head is now #5 in points, very cool also!!!
  2. M&M Head Service in Delaware 740 369-6442, ask for Mike. Best time to call is around 9:30am
  3. If you want to add Autocross to the mix and make it a triple crown, I'll take that bet, in my 200hp beater
  4. From what I understand, that is the jest True Street. After the cruise you get 20 minutes to air or possibly change tires, add fuel, and through in a warm bottle. The hood must stay closed from the start of the cruise to the last pass.
  5. So, a 1970 Hemi Cuda got around 8mpg mixed driving and came equipped with an 18 gallon fuel tank which nets a range of 144 miles. More up to date, a Lamborghini Murcielago gets 8mpg city and 13mpg highway and sports a 19.8 gallon fuel tank for a range of 208 miles mixed driving. I would consider both of these as street cars, especially considering the figures are for unmodified vehicles. In my opinion MPG is of least importance when establishing a cars streetworthyness. <<<is that even a word A fair race for street cars should include a 30-50 mile cruise with the same equipment and tune that the car will run down the track with, any longer is a waste of time and fuel.
  6. That's cool, I just want to take his money
  7. I'm hoping to have it back on the road in a month or so. If he is looking for a money race, we can make it happen.
  8. I would guess either the float level is too high, needle and seats are sticking or have debris between them, or the fuel pressure is too high and over powering the needle and seat. First off, check and set the fuel pressure, no more than 7 p.s.i. at idle. Second, remove and clean the needle and seat assemblies, make sure they work smoothly. Third, reinstall the needle and seat assemblies almost all the way down. Then, with the engine or feul pump running, set them to the point that the fuel barely trickles out of the sight plug holes.
  9. They are leaps and bounds better than a standard SBC, they are also quite a bit heavier though.
  10. All arguments should be supplemented with pics.
  11. If my bucket is broken I'm calling shotgun.
  12. Hell, I'll show with or with out a car to see those two cars make a pass.
  13. Good points Ben. I do plan on getting more serious with the road racing and thought I might as well invest in a nice well fitting seat that could follow me through different cars. On that note, didn't you purchase a custom fitted seat not too long ago? If so please pass along the details.
  14. Yea, I'll have to pass on those. Thanks for checking though Rob, I appreciate the effort.
  15. Love is not the word for what Eric does to you.
  16. There are hundreds of places to purchase a racing seat online but I would prefer to sit in a few to find the right fit before laying out any cash. Is there anyplace in cenral Ohio that has a decent selection on display?
