The track staff did not create this event, they just host it . Zerolift (an import shop down here) created it, did all the PR, pays the track rental fee, etc.... Yes Dave K, I conveniently ignored your question If you want to know, come down to the event next week, I will be there. :gabe:

Let me get that for you Famous Josh... You 'might' have something for him... he won every single week last year, never lost around. I dont know how fast it runs, but it 'looks' incredible... As far as the turn out, there are probably 30 or so bikes, but I think less than a dozen tend to run for the title...

Everytime you first turn the car on in the morning, or when the o2 sensor is just hanging in 'free air' the proper reading will be 20.8 o2. if hte car has been ran, and restarted, there will still be some fuel vapor in the exhaust, which will give some high afr reading. (notice there are also 2 LEDs on the gauge, one for AFR, one for %02. the 20.8 reading is in %o2, not AFR.

It's not giving him problems, he doesn't know how to use it.

I run the xd16. Yes flashing 20.8 is just free air reading. Should be good PM me if anything comes up and I will work you through it.

You could pretty much hot lap from 6pm till 9pm if you wanted to.

One of the mods took the liberty of changing that... I was calling it The Nigerian Knickerbocher. (as a joke to make fun of the middletown guys who like to name their cars, such as The Green Goblin, The Cajun Cracker, etc...) I dont remember seeing an intro thread to you over there, ricer. :thumbup:

Interesting. Though the r888 sidewall is a stiff 'road race' style side wall, doubtful it is R6 stiff, but still stiff. what DRs did you try?

I agree on them cold, but my thought process was he uses them on the highway, so just driving at speed will put 'some' heat in them before rolling out. But road temps may be an issue.

R888's? You should get some proper r-compounds on there, not the "japanese" r compound... which is more like an intermediate tire, IMO. Though, I say that, when I run nearly the same, using the RA1's (which I feel have a better wet traction advantage than 888s) but i am using it as a 'street' tire. You should at least put somethimg more sticky on there for when you are really trying to scoot/race. Have you thought about getting a set of R6's for racing events? (probably easiest with some dedicated wheels to just swap out. Or if you really want a DOT legal tire, the R3SO3 (or the often ran Kuhmo V710s). And from an Rcomp standpoint, I bet you woudl find better traction with either the BFG g-force drag radial (fairly streetable tire), probably well suited for your straight line stuff. OR, the Mich Pilot Cup Sports... which i have ran, and are a great track tire, but could/should be fine for some street driving. I dont know what you do/dont know about tire selection, but I would be happy to chat with you about it, if you want.
