  1. It actually would be! Me and xbomb were 'fairly' close when we raced and he was off the bottle. Though I felt bad, because I think i screwed him, as he forgot to open the bottle for the next race. I didnt do too bad for a cammed c5z!
  2. I already have raced the x-bomb, and got waxed
  3. exactly... I dont buy a single thing for the corvette or the race cars w/o talking to my wife first (if it is expensive) Or rule is no purchases over $500 without talking to the other first. What I am saying is, I do still plan those purchases and make them when it is financially viable. I didnt sell my car and give up because I now have a wife and kids. I have a HUGE passion for this stuff, and my wife knows it. Everyone has to have 'some' hobby/thing they enjoy. For me it is 'car stuff'. Some guys play with cars for awhile, then trade it in for fishing or golf or something else I can't relate to.
  4. For the record, I had my 1999 bmw 328i, bone stock, family sedan to 147mph on I-71 between cbus and akron, back in like 2005... so, you can pick up a show room stock 1999 BMW 328i 4dr sedan for under $5k these days, and have a car that i imagine handles just as good, has a remarkable interior and amenaties for the passengers, stylish, popular appearance and name, room for more people and stuff... and roast a subacion in just about any type of performance activity as well. in closing... neat.
  5. I think this is part of how age separates 'real' "car guys" from 'guys who like cars'. My wife knows better than to ever even suggest that I dont have my cars. And I'm not giving it up because I have kids, instead I hope my son (and my daughter for that matter) get into it as well, and want to enjoy it with me. Sure, I dont race (proper road racing) like I used to, because I dont want to spend the money and a whole weekend away from my family. BUT once at least my son is old enough to go with me; bet your bottom dollar I will be BIA. And I do still get the occassional day on a weekend off to head to hte track. I remember when my wife was pregnant with both kids, i would get all kinds of "well I guess you will have to sell the race cars and vette now" "I used to have a XXX, but then I sold it when I had kids" I rolled my eyes at all that stuff. lol
  6. This thread is becoming another halocaust. .... Couldn't resist
  7. I have some as well you can have, lol
  8. No tank, but how about a very fast truck with a snow plow front on it. Because when I rule, anyone driving slow in the left lane will be plowed right off the road when those suckers go by.
  9. would you like to be an enforcer? For example, instead of spending millions of dollars to imprison convicted murderers, I would be using the $0.79 bullet. (keep in mind, since all the retards will be in Australia, there will actually be competent, reasonably intelligent, people on every jury)
  10. I dunno, I am thinking D Wiggs is the best candidate for the job, to rule his people.
  11. Well, you see, when I take over, my plan is to isolate all the people I deem stupid to one central location. My first thought was to send them to Mexico, God's blind spot, but with all the trouble we already have with that border, there would be no way to keep them effectively out of the rest of North America. So I decided the british were on to something, and I am putting them on Australia, it 'should' be big enough to hold them all. If you want an island, we might be able to work an arrangement, assuming you dont find yourself an Aussie. Unless you are interested in running the place?
  12. skipping the 9 pages I didnt read, and will jump in with... I'll be your hucklebearer
  13. some of the people (most of) on that lambo forum sound like clowns added for me. ...and you think I'm joking
  14. Next your going to tell us about this great plan, we just have to get 7 of our friends, who has to get 7 of their friends, who has to get 7 of their friends.... Lol
  15. Hilariously coincidental, I was just talking to another ME friend last night who I brainstorm with from time to time. And said "too bad we are not EE's, or we could just develop some sweet app and become millionaires like all other 20 something's raking in the cash". That is definitely the current trend in young millionaires these days; apps and interwebz development projects.
  16. So you're not going to concede a loss to him?
  17. Yup, you nailed it. The catch 22 is having the stereotypical engineer's natural adversity to risk, lol. But seriously, there isnt a day that goes by that I dont think about "what can I do that hasnt been done? What can I come up with?"... I was very late in realizing its not about doing something 'new' necessarily, but doing something better/different is all that is required... but that still comes with a lot of thought.
  18. Note to self: Quit this corporate engineering BS; Open medical supply distribution company; Make real money.
  19. May want to talk to Rob, he hasn't ran there the last several weeks. And I am pretty sure it is going on that week.
  20. Since I'm on my phone, I will bypass the long counter post, and just say "read the second post I made"
  21. Dear Dover and Antwon... This guy says "eat shit, ricers" http://i30.photobucket.com/albums/c318/Juicedh22/2c89de46.jpg http://i30.photobucket.com/albums/c318/Juicedh22/b4ed4965.jpg
