All you can hope is the pups had some sort of disease and were going to pass eventually. A cruel way to end their lives but may have been better than letting them die in agony.
The guy who spent years giving all of us a place to come hang out in one manner or another and for free I might ad, probably doesnt like to see all his hard work and generousity tossed aside because someone feels like they can make a better place or that due to circumstances beyond his control he has had to put limitations on what takes place on here. I wouldnt want to give someone a place to live and then have to hear them say my house isnt good enough either.
There are many websites dedicated to racing. This being a local site(COLUMBUSracing) its hard to have a huge following like some of the larger sites. I assume your looking to make something so you have an area to discuss things which are discouraged here?
I dont think there is a big enough market of guys who are racers(locally) to sustain a local site strictly all about racing. What did the site start out with a few dozen members who all knew each other.
This guy on ls1tech did it. I know I seen a few others discussing it

I cant believe people dont realize by now this is a more of a social site that although has its roots in racing and was formed during a time streetracing was more socially ignored yet still hold onto the myth that everyone here races.
Supposedly the motor is a newer crate motor with only 10,000 or so miles. Tranny is a th350. It is described as a targetmaster crate motor but I cant find anything online about them other than they were made years ago in mexica. I dont know if this is still the case or if someplace is again making them. I did find a company selling them but havent heard back to see if they could give me some insight.
I am going to go check out a used sbc motor tomorrow and what should I look for? It is complete and I know hes not going to want me to take things apart so what should I pay close attention to? Also is there really anything to check for for on a used transmission?
I found what appears to be a good deal on a newer target master 305 with 10,000 on it and a rebuilt th350 tranny. The guy selling them is offering them to me at 1/2 the price of other motors I have been finding. I may just pick it up so I can keep moving on it.
As with all my projects, budget is as little as I can possibly spend. Flatheads are super cool, but hard to find in good running shape. The car needs alot. Its basically a partial frame and a fiberglass body.
Congrats man. (similar story as above) I was told by a guy with three daughters that everytime he went to make a baby, he just kept blowen the balls off them.
