Have you tried calling some of the oil companies like earhart oil. Even if they dont take it, they may give you a number.

Put into managable containers and go dump it at advance auto or something for free. They will not dispose of containers though.

I would bring it over but it already needs a new rear bumper(cracked) and the hood repainted. After doing all of that, I would have more in it than I payed for it. Its not bad looking, just wanted to try and clean it up a bit.

Will it fill in the chip as well or should I use a filler first? Wet sand with what grit?

I assume she is turning it into her insurance in which case he is allowed to take it wherever he wants. Even if she wasnt I still think he has the legal right to get it fixed wherever he wants. It would be up to her to pay out for repairs in cash or then go with insurance.

Short of taking the car to an expert, whats the best method for repairing small rock chips? I have alot of them. I seen a video awhile back that shows how to get decent results with the little touch up bottle of paint and proper sanding methods to get it to blend in but I can no longer find it. Also anyone know of any members currently working at a junkyard?

Its been so long but I think thats what mine did almost everytime when I first got it. The guy I traded to was a marine mechanic and he swapped out a part to fix it I think. Matt remembers what it was. My memory could be fuzzy. i think mine is currently doing it now due to the tune up issue. i am swapping plugs this week and if someone is out during the day, i am trying again.

If it has two wires coming off of it may be the ignition sensor. Does your boat still using the original thunderbolt ignition system?

Is it just lying there like its a spare or as though someone took it off, replaced it and never threw the old one out.

Have a pic? I assume since our boats are the same year, manufacturer and just an engine size apart that most of the systems should resemble each other. I can look at mine and see what its hooked to.
