With 400 you will probably need to look at a Springfield XD if your looking new. I personally think Glock is a better gun as I have owned several Glocks and Springfields but you probably wont find a new Glock for that money. However I have been carrying a Springfield XD .45 as my cc weapon and I really like it a lot. Springfield has come a long way.

Ok my wife has a Yad Machine riding lawn mower. She used this thing maybe 6 times so it is practically brand new. She bout it new from Lowes for like $1,400.00. It has been sitting inside her dads warehouse for the last 3 or 4 years. He had it tuned up last summer and got it running. We cant use it because our yard just isnt big enough and I honestly dont have any room for it and that is why it has been sitting at the warehouse. We gotta get it out of his warehouse. First $400.00 takes it. Like I said the thing has been used maybe 6 times the summer that she bought it, so its like brand new. Wheel studs sheer off of T/F cars all the time. Tire shake is so violent. We have shaken the tires so hard on the Pro Stock and Top Sportsman cars that it has actually ripped the steel floor on the drivers side. Tire Shake can really do a lot of damage to a race car if it is violent enough. I was standing next to Gene Wilson years ago on the starting line in Darlington and watched his car come 2 feet off the ground from tire shake. They had to actually pull him out of the car because it banged him around that mush. My buddy Tom still has neck problems and he has not raced for the last 2 or 3 years all due to tire shake. I can't believe some of the comments I hear sometimes from people who claim to be super fans of the sport and sound like the biggest fu%^ing idiots because they dont have a clue what they are talking about.

We used to use baseball bats. It actually works pretty good and its easy to do.

I used to crew on an IHRA Mountain Motor Pro Stock team and we were Darlington SC in 2000 testing during the Groundhog Warmup. It was a test session for all the pros and was held in like Feb each year. Anyways on Sat they had a Chicago style race for the locals. I watched 2 7 second street cars race for 60k. There was about 100 people that had money in it. I thought street racing was serious in Columbus until I seen that. It was pretty crazy. These were not chassis cars either. I think one was a 69 Camaro and the other was like a 70 Nova. These cars were small tire cars with just roll cages in them. This was unheard of back then.

CR didnt have anything to do with the death of street racing in Columbus. Stret racing was gone before CR even existed. Not sure how many of you remember or participated but there was real street racing in the 90's. What happened to CP? What happened to Westbelt? Peopple would come down from Detroit, Canada, PA, NJ, all over the place to race at CP.This is what spurred NMCA or NSCA. Spirro Pappas, Tony Christian, Pat Musi. All of those guys were involved in this. All of those guys came from this era of street racing. Back then it was lets just see how fast we can make it and go take some peoples money. I dont know how many times I seen cars being unloaded from enclosed trailers on the side of 270. We would shut down 270 at times for this and there would be 300 people out there watching 8 second street cars. Dont get me wrong it was super unsafe, the cars were super unsafe and the CPD helicopter and seemed like the entire CPD would bust it up from time to time. Anyways those were the days ahhh. But all that was gone pretty much before CR. I have to say I have only seen a handful of exciting races since then. Then came Fast n Furious and the squirrels went to town and stopped drag racing and decided to see how many times they can race 50 cars around 270 at 100 mph. Where did roll racing even come from anyways? If any of you race bikes and have been to a prostar event then Sat night Chaos is what street racing used to be in Columbus pretty much. Big money races and stupid fast cars. And most times (thanks to Sonny usually ), if we were not racing then we were boxing.
