Congrats on the close, Joe! I'm glad they finally got it worked out for you and you were able to get into the house you wanted. Now all you have to do is try to put it all behind you and enjoy the new place.

I've always said I'd rather be poor doing something I enjoy than wealthy and despise getting up in the morning and heading in to work.
-
Good find! I myself can identify with much of the article. I'm sending it to my tech school instructor now...

Good luck, Joe...

Very nice! That bike looks excellent in white!

I've had several cars inspected from a salvage title. The last one had no airbags in it, no horn, not reapired - damage to trunk floor, cracked windshield, dark tint windows.... Not much worked, but they only checked for stolen parts. Nothing about safety was checked. I am under the impression that they only look for stolen parts and that the inspection is not a safety inspection.
They told me when I did mine that it definately was not meant to be a safety inspection of any kind. They just want to make sure that the major body/mechanical parts aren't stolen.

The receipt is proof of purchase for the inspection. I know down here you have to have an appointment to get the inspection done, and when I did mine, they were booked 3 weeks out.

Bad idea, and the XUV is ugly. The sliding roof and convertible cargo area is a novelty, but in the end its a whole lotta stuff to break back there, and none of it is cheap.

You have to go to the BMV and purchase the receipt. Once you have bought the receipt, you can call the OSP and schedule an appointment to do the inspection at the area inspection site. Make sure you take the receipt you bought at the BMV with you, they'll ask for it. Having the reciept allows you to operate the vehicle on the road to and from the inspection site without a valid registration.

$4200 for a 250cc vtwin?! I'd much rather spend my money on a 1-3 year old Yamahonduki cruiser in the 650-750 cc range. I imagine depreciation on the Kymco would roughly match the continuing depreciation on the used bike.

I'll ride with you, but it'll take some planning as I'm in Cincinnati. If you wanna come down this way, there are a bunch of great roads to ride. I've got a cruiser too, and I've tried to ride with a group of race replica riders, and well.... I had a good time, but I came away from the ride feeling like the fat kid at recess.

Nice bike!

Saw a black one here in Cincy last weekend. License plate said "SS 2010".

has anyone ever used the ceramic off a spark plug to ust a window?
You take a hammer and break away all the ceramic. You then pick up the smallest piece off the ground and gently toss on any glass window. You get a completely bust window with very little sound.
I've seen this... It's cool!

Congrats Shawn! My wife and I celebrated 10 years in January this year.

Sounds good! I'm headed out with some OR.net guys this afternoon, looking forward to learning some new roads in the area.

Wanna come down to Cincy?
Lots of good roads for riding. I'll be out after work.

I love the Blue Ridge Mountains... That's one thing I miss about living down there. Looks like a good time!

D'oh! Glad you made it back safe!

Well.... How was the ride? Or are you too crippled to sit up and type at this point?

Ryan wants me to get a SV650 to start out on.
Excellent bike! Fantastic for the beginning rider, and entertaining for the experienced rider. After selling mine in December, I'm beginning to have a bit of seller's remorse.

I like it! Harley's Denim colors look cool. The silver over black really works on that bike. Congrats again!

Congrats on your purchase!
