  1. +1, but these, http://rtauto.org/yahoo_site_admin/assets/images/silver_svt.89160606_std.jpg Not these. http://www.lemonfree.com/reviews/images/98contour.jpg
  2. My daily is a 95 Contour SE, and has been a great car since I bought it in 2000. Since then, I've put 120k miles on it, totalled it, rebuilt it, and continue to drive every day I can't ride my bike. I bought the B.A.T. European Handling kit for mine, and you wouldn't believe what a difference it made! The only complaint I have with mine is my auto trans has started slipping when it's cold out... I think a 5 speed swap will be in order when the trans finally craps out. Congrats on the purchase, Tor Red is probably the best color on those I think.
  3. I usually make it over there about once a month for one thing or another. Cool place.
  4. Are you looking to buy a salvaged bike to rebuild? Check out http://www.racersedge411.com. They're out East of Cincy and their inventory changes pretty quickly.
  5. I like the wingless look, don't like the holes it leaves. My uncle took his off, and moved it backward about an inch with new holes. The vertical supports are long enough to cover up the existing holes, and it looks just different enough for people to wonder why it looks different. <--- Did that make sense? It does in my head.
  6. The ride home this afternoon and rollin' 2 wheels to the church was worth it IMO.
  7. I'm not gonna lie, it was fucking COLD! I didn't get feeling in my toes until I'd been sitting inside the church for quite a while. I think Kenny would have approved, that's good enough for me.
  8. I don't believe it will ever cease to amaze me how CR pulls together when it matters. I hope to never be in a situation where this board needs to come to my aide, but it makes me feel better knowing that when the chips are down, my family will have your support. I'm proud to have been a member here these last six years.
  9. I'm planning on attending Kenny's funeral Saturday morning. I'll be leaving from the Kohl's parking lot at 71 & 48 at around 7:00 if anyone would like to ride with me. High on Saturday is 60, probably in the 40's in the morning, so dress for the weather. Gonna ride the I-71 superslab up, probably take the back way home. PM me if you want to ride up. 10. Read this thread when it was still all kryptic, and thought "Surely it's not Kenny..." Wow. I too am one that never met him, but frequently laughed at his posts, and am thoroughly stunned that he's gone. R.I.P. Kenny.
  11. I love that truck! I wish I had the money for that. Even if I had the money to buy it though, I couldn't afford to feed it.
  12. Sonic Blue is probably the prettiest blue I've seen on a car, ever. Love that color! Cool pics too!
  13. Upon further research, this is correct. I'm gonna have to go back and read it again. Good movie, better book. 2nd the Mopar Nats, I'd roll out for the Chrysler Classic too. I think the Classic is the one in Spring, isn't it?
  14. Christine was a '57... Coupe in the movie, Sedan in the book. http://img451.imageshack.us/img451/4953/christine05uk5.jpg I'm diggin' the old Mopar though...
  15. Bump, new price. It's on Craigslist now, too... http://cincinnati.craigslist.org/cto/1066507396.html

Also, you can see here that the car has power mirrors and windows, it also has power locks, and a power antenna that does not work (it's up, so the radio still gets decent reception). http://i203.photobucket.com/albums/aa79/Ron_ofthe_cars/cf661f8b-d792-49e7-83f4-065deae4c31.jpg Original t-top bag and cargo cover intact. http://i203.photobucket.com/albums/aa79/Ron_ofthe_cars/91eb6f11-3eee-43e8-9861-b50e4e554c9.jpg
  18. I'll be editing that first post here very shortly. I just uploaded the pics into Photobucket a minute ago.
  19. I have a co-worker who is facing bankruptcy, and would like to sell this car. Now, I've not seen it yet, but should be able to get pics later this week. I'm told the car is practically spotless, has been garage kept, and has only 50k original miles. She is looking for a quick cash sale, and is definately open to any reasonable offer. I'd buy this car myself, but I don't have the funds, nor the garage space at the moment. If you're interested, you can PM me or just call Donna or Frank at 513-745-9433. Pics to follow by Friday. For anyone interested, the 15th anniversary package was only put on 1500 84 T/A's, this one is equipped with the 305 h.o. engine, Automatic trans, Recaro interior, t-tops, and does have the original white wheels. I went over and looked at the car yesterday and took pics. I will say that the car is not perfect, but is a fairly good condition original car. It is not without flaws and I will outline what I saw below: The rear bumper cover and right 1/4 panel rear ground effect is broken and missing, and the right 1/4 panel needs some light body work where the ground effect goes. The right fender has some slight body damage, it doesn't show real well in pics because of the crappy camera and the color of the car, but it is there, probably 2-3 hour repair for a body man. The paint is somewhat faded and chalked out, it could likely be brought back with a little elbow grease, but again on the right fender, the paint has started to crack and would need to be refinished. The front seats both show wear on the bottom cushions, the left front seat is worse with a couple of cigarette burns in the material and the typical outer bolster wear. The car is equipped with the top of the line (for '84) sound system - AM/FM/Cassette with 5 band Equalizer. Unfortunately, the tape deck does not work, and the gain button on the dash will not stay "on". It does have the 305 V8, and Automatic Trans with Overdrive. For the most part, the car is an amazingly original, complete, low milage, "survivor car". It starts quickly, with a little puff of dark smoke at first, but it quickly falls into a smooth idle and seems to run well. The owners told me that they have replaced the carb (I don't know if they bought an a/m one or a new/rebuilt q-jet) and the car does have a new aftermarket alternator. After looking at the car, and talking with Donna and Frank, and letting them know what I saw, and what I felt were the car's weak points, they know the car is not in excellent condition. I would rate it in average condition based on NADA Classic definition, which according to NADA is "a 20 footer". The Average Retail Value is approximately $11,500. Asking price is $6300, but they're very negotiable. Now for the pics: http://i203.photobucket.com/albums/aa79/Ron_ofthe_cars/0da5f2b1-79f2-423a-b56a-2975fcc5568.jpg http://i203.photobucket.com/albums/aa79/Ron_ofthe_cars/252c1956-86b0-4b52-9aaa-8c78c9bdcd5.jpg http://i203.photobucket.com/albums/aa79/Ron_ofthe_cars/3645fd0d-7b14-4b8d-a62b-6c88a52d3b0.jpg http://i203.photobucket.com/albums/aa79/Ron_ofthe_cars/4d752b4b-714d-4d49-ba81-2b035ae1bfe.jpg
  20. The renderings are cool, someone is obviously very talented... I agree though, the body lines don't flow right. I think if the primary horizontal line in the side were straight, it would help a lot. As it is it seems to be bowed up in the middle. The front end is bad, not feeling it at all. I can't shake the feeling that the wheels don't belong. Don't get me wrong, I like them, but I think they'd look better on a Jaguar XJR rather than a futuristic, concept, Corvette rendering.
  21. This is exactly what I do when I get the calls. They'll tell you that you need to provide the VIN for the vehicle. That's when you pin them down, "You called me and told me my warranty was going to expire, and you don't even know which vehicle you're calling about?!" Its entertainment when you're bored or a bright spot when you're angry.
  22. http://www.racersedge411.com here in Cinci deals in used and salvage bikes of all shapes and sizes. Check them often, they turn stock over pretty quickly from what I've seen.
  23. Swapping the face shields is not a big deal on most modern helmets, the key is figuring out what to do with the shield when you want to take it with you to swap out later.
  24. I love the tinted shield on mine... 95% of my riding is during the daytime, and the tinted shield makes a huge difference. Don't ride with the dark shield at night though, it can get spooky.
