  1. I dont know how it works in the Marines but in the Air Force your waist size has no correlation at all to your height so you get the maximum points for a 32" waist whether your 4' tall or 7' tall and if you have over a 40" waist you fail period. It's an asinine system developed to lower the number of people in the military and it's doing it's job. Unfortunately you now have maintainers that are more worried about getting their workout in than maintaining the aircraft and that WILL come back to haunt us.
  2. Columbus QS&L Sunday June 30 11-4pm $15 donation per car DJ and silent auction. Here's the flyer: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v728/buelligan/Carshow.jpg This is all I know, just saw this on FaceBook and thought some of you might be interested.
  3. Not saying that it cant happen but the FAA goes through great lengths to assure that if anything does go wrong the planes don't come in to the crowd.
  4. Are there still planes at Newbury, I figured after old man Soplata passed away his family would sell it all off?
  5. This reminds me of a conversation I had with a coworker just last night. Apparently he was at a small gun shop in Lancaster when he saw a small amount of .22lr on the shelf, as he was getting ready to buy it he noticed a much larger box of .22lr on the floor and asked about buying that ammo to which the store owner came back with a ridiculous price. My coworker puzzled by the high price asked why it was so expensive and the store owner told him it was old, and some people will pay big bucks for old ammo. Why the hell would you spend more on old ammo when you can't shoot it because I would assume it would then be worthless. Are they paying more just so they can say they have old ammo? Do they think that it ages like fine wine? Is that how they impress their friends while out shooting on special occasions, for this occasion my friends I have retrieved from the cellar an extremely rare vintage 1962 .22lr you'll notice a slight bouquet of oak and apple spice when fired.Lol
  6. Unhooked yourself in the time between the stall and impact with the earth? You would have had about a half a second, oh and FYI she didnt use a safety harness so the only unhooking you could do would be to unhook your legs from around the edge of the plane.
  7. Or a gated community for the more affluent folks.
  8. This is why I've always had a problem with people describing America as a "melting pot" what a horrible place this would be to live if everywhere you went everything was the same. I like to look at America more as a table set with a large Thanksgiving feast, you've got turkey, potatoes, cranberries, stuffing, pumpkin pie and all sorts of other stuff available to you. If you don't like something don't eat it but its there in case someone else wants it. If this were truly a melting pot you would throw all of the food on that table in a big blender so everyone could share the same horrible tasting paste as everyone else. Besides this is America and if we don't have something to bitch about we'll find something to bitch about. Lol
  9. Most likely the pilot was going too slow and the plane stalled while inverted, at that point and at that altitude there's nothing you can do.
  10. No you can have the 5.9 as an SLT that's what I have. An R/T would have different wheels, side steps that are body color and R/T embroidered in to the seats. May be more difference but those are the things that I know are different.
  11. From the video it looks like the boat is on the exit side, actually from the 10tv chopper view it looks like it's on 270N well before it it divides which would put it south of 70 which still doesnt make sense but it's over now and didnt effect me in any way.
  12. WTF?? If he was supposed to get off at Main why didnt they just back him up to the beginning of the exit and let him get off? I dont understand what the big deal is.
  13. IMO "ghetto fucking trash" has got nothing to do with the color of someone's skin and more to do with their attitude and mentality. I don't give a damn what color this crowd was.
  14. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/uknews/terrorism-in-the-uk/10073910/British-soldier-beheaded-on-busy-London-street-in-terror-attack.html WTF? Is wrong with people.
  15. Would be nice to have a place to got to see when and where all the shows were regardless of what types of cars are being shown. I too hate finding out about a show after it over.
  16. Ive had a new owner contact me before about a vehicle that I had traded in but that was in South Carolina. Thought it was weird that the dealer gave him that info because I was completely up front with the dealer about what I had modified on the truck and they had completely lied to him and he was calling to verify some things so he could potentially sue them. Lol
  17. Yep always amazes me that the guys that are most about "being different" are so put off by those who are actually different.
  18. Why does his reverse lights come on just before he launch's? Is it something to do with a trans brake?
  19. Not surprising that they are on 40 with the highway patrol outpost right there in west jeff
  20. Really, I'll have to keep my eyes out for these. Of course I don't usually drive through London I mostly just drive about a block to 665 and then head on over to Rickenbacker.
  21. I passed that the other day on my way to work, definitely got my attention but not in a good way.
  22. Send them an email and they will get "wit" you. Lol
  23. OK so I figured getting my car in for an alignment was a long shot due to the quick notice, but do you have any idea how much you guys would charge to weld in some frame connectors?
  24. About twice a month those highway patrol inspector guys hit the trucks coming out of the railway freight area pretty hard. Its nothing to see 5 or 6 trucks getting inspected on my way in to work.
