For my application with nitrous and lack of tune an Ls6 cam is for me. Thanks tho...

Y waste the time and money with a ls6? Put something in worth doing that will make power.

The 5.3L I had to stuff in my car due to my Ls1 oil pump failure.

your looking for an 02+ LS6 cam. they are all the same 02-04.

Ls1 block and heads 90k on them needs bearings and oil pump. See video for why it was removed.

Keep opinions/ideas coming here. Does the 6.0L drop into a 5.3 truck fine? Require a tune/bellhousing/etc.?

 

Options on interchangeability that would be well suited for towing would be appreciated.

 

Your oilpan/intake/acceosries will all bolt. Just put a 5.3 in my Camaro due to my LS1 shitting itself, 6L's are more pricey and complete 5.3's can be had cheap got mine with trans and all the crap for 600.

Got mine for $600 with trans harness PCM and everything that they cut outta the truck.

Yup, drained it with the dipstick reading full after taking it out of storage but only got 2.5q~ out of it. Gotta love it.

 

Reason I bought my 5.3L. Changed the oil in it after it had been sitting all winter, went for a drive and started making this noise, gotta love unexpected car fk ups lol...

Long story short my Camaros Ls1 spun a main bearing. Looking for something that will drop in and run. Please post here or Pm me!

Yes it would. I had a 2002 maro Exhaust on my 86 TA

Get the biggest expandable soft plug u can get Autozone and crank it in snug. Mines been in since i bought the car 2 years ago and works fine Also make sure that the EGR is blocked on the manifolds/headers with some kinda plate. To get th SES to turn off have one of the tuners on here turn them off, takes like 5mins tops lol.
