I agree 100%. I am quite against it myself, especially for competitive use when I count my rounds. However, for re-sale value to the public... it's a different story. I sell the mag disconnect model 5 to 1 over the will fire with mag out model. Most people feel unure of themselves in a struggle and don't want to get shot with their own gun. Not having to abide by quite the same standards as an officer when someone is in your house threatening house and home I don't quite understand it myself.

It's for law-enforcement. If they get into a struggle, they can drop the magazine so the gun becomes useless and they don't get shot with their own bullets and firearms. You'd be surprised by how many cops lose their guns in hand-to-hand, CQB-type situations.

I am sure I could have. There are all kinds of sites out there, but since I work in the industry I like to think I have a decent idea. I was looking to make both parties involved happy, so I wasn't try to smash people on price. I probably could have squeezed another 200-350 out of each had I waited another two months or so for the right buyer.

No, it was a Colt Peacemaker collector that I approached about a week ago. He piddled around and then I met up with him today near Jeffersonville. He was a freak with whitegloves and jewelers magnifier and all. He didn't bitch one bit about price. He said everything was very fairly priced and he'd buy everything else, but he only collects Challengers and Peacemakers. He said he'd never seen such a mint 4 3/4" or 4.4" before with a box and sleeve.

We do have something in 45-70 with the lever, but I can't recall what. Usually I am on top of everything, but lately I've not been able to keep track of inventory with the craze. I'll update you when I can sneak a glace.
