  1. I have been talking with him for a couple of days and they've been pretty backed up, so if he is slow to get back to you that is why.
  2. I agree 100%. There's something going on there, whether it be wholesalers selling them for different pricing, salespeople, etc. I mean they can't be cheap with that material to start with... Can you imagine what a wheel or gun barrel made of that would cost? Not that you would want a gun barrel made of it, but I am just saying. I can see reasons for needing something adjustable. I don't always have the luxury as been mentioned of always working on one of the five cars on the "level" garage floor. It just doesn't seem so great to me know. I love the concept, but think it needs some improvements before I would consider it without even knowing the price. Also, they looked to have 3x the footprint of the jack stand I saw it compared to. I will go back and check. Yeah, look at the second picture. It looks at least 2x as big.
  3. Oh... I didn't even read that. No offense taken. Death to flakers!
  4. I was going to pick this up from you for a beater, but got a deal on that G20 that I couldn't resist. You should sell this fairly quickly, it's about that time of year.
  5. I knew it was most likely his Corvette, but it did sound like some kind of German fail to me. Having owned most likely the hardest to work on, most problematic German car out there I feel I have rights to joke about it. I don't know though, a guy I knew that had an S600 bi-turbo always had expensive repair bills, too. You are right, most vehicles do have their fair share of problems. However it seems German cars are the most complex and expensive to figure out. I've owned 71 cars now and I think the only car I wouldn't attempt to delve too deep into would be something VAG.

    Software??

Subscribed, because I would like to know, too.
  7. That's a fairly decent deal. Benelli's are design to last forever. If it were me, I would buy it. If you don't want it, let me know. Black Wing was selling those for around 1100 or 1200 a year or so ago. You might try to get it closer to $600. "Five without the plug" means it will hold five shells (rounds) without the cap they put in there for hunting. Some states require it, I don't know LA laws. My best advice to you is if it feels good when you shoulder it, it will probably be ok for you. Shotguns are subjective, so you might ask to shoot it. Not everyone likes the recoil Benelli's are known for. Here's some more info: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Benelli_M1 A Remington is great (I don't like Mossbergs for Defense except the 590A1), but the Benelli is much more refined. You can get into a NICE, new Remington for $300 if you want a pump gun. However, the M90 is inertia driven and auto, so we're not talking apples and oranges. It all just depends on what you want. I have autos, but I much prefer a pump for CQB work.
  8. They all need to apply for pit crew positions when they retire. That's awesome!
  9. I would be livid. I guess the good news is your GF wasn't around to witness the madness. I would think they would have to be responsible for something. Hopefully you don't get sick out of that.
  10. Were they built in the last six months?
  11. I was thinking he acted like my old boss, Paul. That's the kind of guy who will scream about stuff until someone swings at him, then he will run down the road talking shit. That's a disgrace for any party he represents.
  12. There is so MUCH marketing LWRC has done to make people believe they are *so* great. I have yet to see one that hasn't failed with less than 250 rounds through it. I am sure they have gotten better than the stuff they let get by QC, but it used to be awful. It's like they have a division making military stuff that was good and a division making stuff for civilians that was the pile of fail.
  13. No to LWRC. I know the early ones were trash. I don't have experience with newer ones. I have been told they are better, but until I see it for myself, I will have to vote no. LMT all the way out of that list. Or better yet, go for another caliber.
  14. Applied. Is this a one time thing, ongoing, what long does it last, etc? I see "sessions" but was looking for some clarity.
  15. Very nice for a cell phone. The only thing I noticed was the lighting wasn't there best, but the cell phone can't correct for that. Otherwise, it's great. I need to get another Subie!
  16. Correct, but trust me you don't want to end up in a war with them. You'll always lose, every single time.
  17. That is no fun at all. Sounds like something that would happen to an Audi.
  18. Yes, Austin is correct but I didn't want to use that terminology. I would delete every last instance of that picture if I were you. What you do in your home that isn't recorded is all you. I don't condone it, but hey if you do it, it's all you. Don't underestimate those three letter agencies, either. I worked in the gun industry for 6+ years and came into contact with them often. Once they snatched my ass up and I was questioned for 4.25 hours over something I really had nothing to do with. They tried every trick in the book for me to admit I knew something about some NY trade ring that was involved in moving guns between OH and NY. I had sold a gun to someone completely by the book and that guy was a "pin" in that ring. Just because I signed the 4473 (as the sales associate) and actually sold the gun for the company I worked for they thought I was trying to help. I wasn't the only one who got questioned with that BS, but I found out really quickly that they didn't play around when I started getting rude with them after they had detained my ass for over an hour of time. I was super nice and cooperative but got quite ignorant with them after they asked me the same question *8* different ways trying to trip me up.
  19. I did, should have quoted you. I was re-iterating just so he would feel the point.
  20. It's brilliant, a little long but 100% worth watching. I have always loved that video. The last time a woman got the best of me I watched that, laughed and moved on. I was going to post "farm sluts" as an alternative but I can't seem to find it. It's not quite what it sounds like but it stars a guy who I believe was/is an SNL star and was produced by Fox Video. Long story short the guy keeps trying to kill himself and fails each time.
  21. Or the extreme opposite is to completely ignore her. It has been mentioned before and it does work, but you must NEVER talk again.
  22. Watch this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0TLA_f7S0cw Do it if you're brave enough.
  23. That's one of the reasons I posted up. "Handgun", by definition is to be operated by "one" hand. Or capable of... Added that "grip" is a big no, no and the three letter agencies out there don't really play nice. Ignorance is not something you can readily claim with them, either. They're pretty harsh and love to make examples out of people. I can't really see any reason for a quad rail on the gun... Maybe a top rail for a holo-sight. You do know that they did make a pig-sticker combo for the front end, right? Well, not specifically for that gun, but it would work. In going with the "one-handed" operation of things that gun is already pretty heavy out of the box and adding more on it would only make it cumbersome. Now on a rifle there are plenty of "justifiable" reasons to add lots of things to a rifle, but not many I can see for a pistol. Some can make sense, though. That full slide to frame contact will make it extremely accurate. It's based off an exceptionally accurate target pistol.
  24. I am sorry to hear about this. I can only imagine how you feel. I couldn't imagine what I would do if it happened to either of my dogs. I know there isn't much I can say that can help you feel better, but just keep the good memories in your head.
