  1. Great choice, these are so under-rated, it is unreal. I would be careful with that picture of the gun with the light attached in that manner. It's not exactly "legal". I'm not saying it isn't fun, I'm just saying if the wrong person sees it you might catch some heat.
  2. I will take that T28.
  3. No consumption issues whatsoever. Developed a mild shudder off of Royal Purple. Could not figure out what. Switch it back to regular synthetic and no more issue. Then switched back to Amsoil. Only time I've ever witnessed and issue. Was going to put it in the S4 until it started having issues.
  4. You are correct in this, but even moreso he didn't want competition from Glock, Browning (think Hi-Power) and a couple other importers that were shipping their guns to the US with higher capacity magazines. He was scared that his newer auto would not flourish and that would create problems selling his autos. His mindset was that he figured to keep the higher capacity magazines out of the US publics' hands would be better for his business. At that point in time many gun owners were on the only American made products kick, so he wanted level playing ground. Bill also has stated many times how he just never saw the use in higher capacity magazines for pistols. He was not an advocate for hand guns, or carry guns at all and I think the issue was he recognized that his business started on revolvers and long guns so he wasn't familiar with the changing ways. Maybe it scared him to think he was going to lose a lot of market share, which he did anyway. Ruger never really got better until a couple of years ago when the forward thinking minds realized what they needed to do to "be better". Now you see the LCR, LCP, mini-14 variants and more that probably would have caused Bill an aneurysm with his closed minded belief system.
  5. Ben, yes they do carry Royal Purple. You use that in the STI? I liked it in the 2.5 I was running, but the 2.0's don't seem to take well to it. I'm not sure why that is, but I noticed it in three 2.0s. I switch the Subies over to Amsoil for the most part. Can't find a local supplier for that, though. I do know for a fact that the Westerville Rd store does carry RP. Thanks for your hard work, Dave! Did James get moved?

    new gun

Those are usually hard to get and pretty pricey, but they shoot really well for what they are! You should be pretty happy with it if you leave it stock.

    is this a scam?

Ebay is no Escrow and good luck with Paypal helping out if you get tossed. If you have Chase you'd get the money back right quick. It's amazing the language the scammers do use... It always cracks me up to read what they write.
  9. They ended up giving me a Motorola Cliq XT. It's not a bad phone, but being stuck in 1.5 I don't get Nav or ability to save pics to SD, or really access to the SD card for the most part. I don't know the validity of the of the rumors that Motorolas brick easily, but I didn't want to screw it up. Three more months and I can get what I want, or I will switch and get the Galaxy S or next best thing.
  10. Adam: I don't know really. Only messed around in Quantico. I am sure I could ask around for you, but I don't have any personal experience down that way. Wish I did.
  11. I wish I would have gotten one instead of the Matrix when I made that decision. They're pretty nice cars overall. I have never heard any complaints out of them.
  12. Be happy you even got it. I am still stuck with 1.5 because I am afraid to screw with this phone. I wish I could get a G1 back.
  13. You can make anything work. It's a good way to figure out how good you are and getting better with what you have. There's not many options that you have to do that here in OH. People will mention TDI, but I think that place is a rip off for what it actually is. briarrabbit.com for more info. I haven't shot there in over two years, but it's a good time.
  14. It's at an electronics shop right now. I know it is the harness and/or an ignition relay. I got it down that far and said screw it. I didn't want to spend hours and hours figure out where the issue was. The car has multiple issues, but that is the start. In the past 6 months it has an ignition switch and fuel pump relay replaced. Can't wait to get it fixed so I can rid myself of it!
  15. All I am saying is most people do NOT grasp the concept of CQB fighting. 9 out of 10 times you will not be able to get into the stance that you want to be in to fire off your first shot. You need to consider that the worst possible circumstance will occur. I've even hear of mag extension being dislodged or caught in crucial situations. As a matter of fact, I used to use the LCP to demonstrate this because it would always catch on a certain pair of pants I would wear. The answer was to change the pants, but the idea was to show how things never work the way you want them to, so plan accordingly.
  16. A ccw gun does not need to fit your hand in order to be a requirement. This, however, is not true of a target gun. You just need to be able to hit what you are aiming at within 20 ft. If you need a magazine extension to do that, you need a different gun or need more practice. Carry guns are are very subjective topic.
  17. Much easier to work on than an S4 for certain!
  18. It's at a shop now. Hopefully this pig will be running again soon.
  19. This is what matters. I would have sold the man whatever he wanted and been just as happy as he was, if he loved it.
  20. I agree. But if it's what he wanted, he is footing the bill. Thanks for he pics, though!
  21. There is a solution for that, but it is not cheap.
  22. Yeah, this has happened many times in the past--capitalism at it's finest.. Not just under Obama's hand. I didn't know the story behind this batch, but that would make sense.

    NVM

I prefer 40 almost any day over a 9, save certain situations. I think you might be hard pressed to find a "target" gun for that price range. Add another $150 to it and it can be very possible. Like I said, I will keep an eye out for you.
