  1. http://buzz.yahoo.com/buzzlog/93924?fp=1 Auto company Dodge recently found itself in PETA's crosshairs after the carmaker aired a commercial starring a monkey dressed up like Evel Knievel. But, unlike many who draw the ire of PETA, Dodge fought back in a most amusing way.
  2. 1. Start watching This Old House 2. Start watching New Yankee Workshop (Norm Abram) 3. ????? 4. Profit
  3. Just curious - what's the limitation?
  4. That's a shame it doesn't control timing. AEM's FIC will do timing, but lacks in precise fuel control..
  5. I'm guessing you've seen this: http://www.dynojetcmd.com/cmd_products.aspx?mk=10&mdl=10&yr=2010 Anyone who has experience on a power commander or the like should be able to pick it up quickly.
  6. Chill out isn't in the dictionary of someone who gets paid to blow shit up and pull triggers. :bangbang:
  7. Didn't they just review the 458 on TopGear? That's one mean car.
  8. So, we moved into some really nice off base housing on the cheap. The one thing we are having some problems with is our dryer. The vent does an immediate 90 degree verticle. There's not even a radius, just two 45 degree cut tubes. When the discharge is unhooked, clothes dry just fine, however with it connected, it takes 2x or 3x as long. It appears to be clear of any debris. I deduce therein lies the problem, but I can't say this has ever happened to me in seven years of renting/home ownership/etc. So, has anyone ever came across this conundrum? Oh balls, can someone move this to the right forum?
  9. Stock Exhaust + Cutout. I'm not sure how much it'll net you power wise as I've only used them on turbo builds, but we've seen a 50hp+ difference on stock exhaust, and a 10-12hp difference on an aftermarket cat-back.
  10. If so, there'd be alot less knock off TiAL's out there
  11. Jeeeeeeeesussssss. Good thing I picked up a BW S400-75....
  12. I remeber that car!! Intense tried the STS route...was that your car?
  13. Any pictures of the setup? The only twin setup I've seen is Matt's.
  14. Put the car on a lift and check the oil pan gasket and oil pressure sender (next to the oil filter) for seeping. The transaxles wear, if it slips/stutters/pulses have AAMCO or alike pull the histroy data from the PCM. Be cautious if it's modded.

  16. The hosts of top gear joke about them alot
  17. Also something to consider.
  18. From an engineering point of view (ideals): You'll make more power with boost and lower CR. Mainly three reasons for this: 1) Lower peak temp at the end of the compression stroke 2) Higher average cyl pressure (iMEP) with respect to peak cyl pressure 3) Intercooling (you can't cool the air charge at the end of the compression stroke) As noted, you are giving up the chemical/thermal efficiency yields on a lower compression ratio, but consider how much: On paper, a jump from 8.5:1 to 9.5:1 would increase power output about 3%. Increasing boost 1psi (say 14-15psi) would increase airflow (mass airflow) by 3.5-3.6%. Upping boost by 2psi nets 7-9% return. Keep in mind, the lower CR, higher boost engine will still have lower changes in temp and pressure.
