  1. As much as I hate to say it; women are generally a better shot than men.
  2. I've never heard of one for any HKs. It'd probably have to be a custom deal; barrel, recoil spring, compensator, etc. I seriously doubt it would be cheap. It wouldn't make a very good CCW gun either. The guns require a compensator to deal with the increased pressure (nearly 2x what .45acp is) that the round creates. Run it without a comp and the gun will tear itself apart.
  3. I've never shot it, but have heard of it. Clark Custom guns makes a conversion kit for like $300 if that's what you're looking for. http://static.texashuntfish.com/pics/2008/06/02/large/b128bde8-4b04-4b98-8906-61e6d28c67a6.jpg I'm a sucker for odd cartridges, but I also reload for everything I have, so it makes it simple to feed. It puts out some pretty rowdy numbers, but unless you reload, I'm not sure it'd be worth it.
  4. I just recently got a Sprint Air Card thingy to try out for a home internet alternative (rural = not shit for internet). The Sprint guy is letting me try it out for a month and swears there's no bandwidth cap on it. I'm going to put that to the test this month. I'm downloading everything in sight. :bangbang:
  5. So simple, yet people are so scared of it. Do people worry about their car starting just because they left the key in the ignition?
  6. Glock is kind of a mix between SA and DAO. When 'cocked' the gun is only about 90% cocked. When you pull the trigger, it cocks the additional 10%, and then fires = 2 actions, 1 trigger pull. While it might not be cocking the gun 100% when pulling the trigger, it is doing some of it. The best definition for it is indeed, DAO.
  7. A few of my thoughts... Let's start with the 2nd Amendment: -Congress' version- "A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed." -State's version- "A well regulated militia being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the People to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed." There seems to be some discrepancy over capitalization and punctuation, but I don't think it makes a damn bit of difference in regards to the amendment's meaning or intentions. IMO, the State's version trumps Congress' version since that's the one they (the States) ratified. It seems to me that most politicians have a hard time determining exactly what a 'militia' is. They seem to think that it refers to our military, which is wrong. Traditionally, a militia is made up of common citizens, unpaid, for whatever purpose they might need to serve. The National Guard IS NOT A MILITIA! It can be called upon by the Federal Gov't in time of need and therefore is subject to their influence. During the time that the Bill of Rights came along, the newly formed United States of America had just finished (or was still) dealing with the overthrow of a tyrannical government. As such, they saw the importance of keeping the common citizen (read: The People) well armed. IMO, this means as well armed as the government. Sadly, the majority of this country (and politicians) seem to think that the 2A is for home defense, and hunting.... How much sense does that make? It's #2 on the Bill of Rights. #2! #1 - You can run your mouth. The People can use this to get what they want, or say what they want in an effort to govern their government. #2 - A backup in case #1 fails. Federal Gov't won't listen to you? Try's to go tyrannical on you? Shoot them. They should have no advantage over you (The People) when it comes to Arms, because this limits the effectiveness of #2. The 2A is pretty cut-n-dry. Congress is scared right now. The recent shooting of Gabby Gifford has rattled their cages. The weaker ones (gun grabbers) are going to attempt to limit those who can hurt them the most, The People. I'm here to tell you that they won't succeed. As much as I don't condone the shooting of innocent people such as Gabrielle Gifford, I think it should be a wake-up call for our current politicians that they aren't untouchable. Yes, I realize that the shooter was bat shit crazy and had no logical reason for going on a rampage, but, I feel that it's a good opportunity for our politicians to really think about why they're in the position they're in. Perhaps they should really put some thought into who their votes are going to affect, or piss off before throwing it down.
  8. I'm not quite sure why everyone is getting so worked up. Nothing will come of this.
  9. My mom is a Nursing/Group home surveyor for the Ohio Dept. of Health and knows the in's and out's off all of central Ohio's Homes. She's the one who cites them for any violations. I'll ask her.
  10. And not a single bit of it will make it through. Dems know this is suicide. Obama knows it's suicide. The only thing this will do is jack the prices up again.
  11. Anybody know where I can buy some?
  12. The panic buying has already begun again. I fucking hate gun grabbers and their retarded logic. They're so F'n stupid, it's nauseating. Some info on what to expect in the next couple weeks: http://www.newsweek.com/2011/01/27/white-house-to-push-gun-control.html Here's the same lady that's introducing this mag capacity ban. These are the type of people you've got making your laws.... Nothing they propose has a snowballs chance in hell at passing. The Dems are already on the country's shit list, as is Obama. They might be the biggest fucking retards imaginable, but they know political suicide when they see it. Passing any kind of anti-gun legislation all but guarantee's an anal-raping for them at the polls come 2012
  13. Compressed metal powder wrapped in a copper jacket. Useful for indoor shooting or when shooting steel plates as they disintegrate rather than ricochet.
  14. Excellent choice. I has one.
  15. Are you sure they aren't putting in a fistula? I've never seen one of those operations performed but I'm sure it's probably a 2+ hour job. They're probably going that route.
  16. A Permacath usually takes around 30minutes, max.
  17. An insulin pump won't fix her kidney. Years of uncontrolled BS have taken their toll on them. It will, however, hopefully keep her BS more in check for the next one, should it come along. I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but dialysis is going to be far from easy. 3 days a week, 3-4hr per Tx., and it takes a LOT out of people. Best of luck to you and your wife, Thorne.
  18. I haven't seen it yet, but it's Red Jacket Firearms, correct? I've bought a few things from them for my non-Tromix S-12.
  19. Same here. I've been eye-fucking an RZ-10 for over a year now.
