  4. Why would you use a rifled barrel at all for defense, regardless of range? And your 870 is a smooth bore if its got a single bead on it. I'm not sure where you're going with this.
  5. Huh? Rifled barrels are pretty Damn accurate on shotguns when combo'd with modern ammo. I'd confidently take a deer out to 200yd with my M500 and some 300gr SSTs. Rifled barrel = sabots Smooth bore = rifled slugs (Minute Of Barn)
  6. Christmas Eve and Christmas day, and I wouldn't have it any other way.

  8. Everybody gets called a hero for anything they do these days. I'm not sure why, but it pisses me off. CNN did their 'Hero' special a few weeks back and had all the Chilean miners on there, claiming they were heroes. Really? What exactly did they do that made them heroes? Sit on their asses for a couple months? In other news, a woman recently took a shit after being constipated for 3 weeks. She birthed a 8lb 3oz. baby turd. Hero.
  9. Make sure you aren't parked on their property either, with the gun in your car.
  10. There are no pre-86 Auto shotguns that I know of. Therefore, you can't buy one under the NFA. The only ways to acquire one would be to : -1. Obtain your Type 7 or 10 Class 2 SOT and manufacture (with a demo letter from a LE agency [good luck with that]), or be a dealer for them or -2. Obtain your Type 1, 2, 7, 8, 9, 10, or 11 and Class 3 SOT and become strictly a dealer for them. These are Federal licenses, and I believe, trump state laws. Ohio is friendly towards NFA stuff, so you'd have no problem with state laws anyways. It's perfectly legal to own them if you have the means.
  11. The Super Snipers also get great reviews.
  12. Mueller Optics are awesome for the money. I've got an Eradicator on my .17hmr and love it. I also run a Falcon optics Merlin (MilDot) on my .308 that's pretty badass for the money. IIRC, it was around $450 or so. It's british made, and there are very few dealers for them in the US, but they get rave reviews.
  13. I'd wager it was a manufacturing defect rather than a failure from being compressed for a month. I'd also bet that it'd have broken under normal use if you had continued to load and unload it as you normally do.
  14. Not offended in the least. People just have a tendency to throw out the widespread rumor that, "Berger kills people." What you'll find though, is that most people who spew those comments: 1. Have never been a patient there, or, 2. They stopped in for pain meds, and were shown the door. In either case, it's people just running their mouth with absolutely nothing to back it up. Berger is exactly what it's supposed to be - a mid level facility. It'll probably never be a Grant or Riverside, or the like, because it's sandwiched right between Chillicothe (Adena), and Columbus. There's no need or room for Berger to be a top tier hospital. I've heard, more often that not, that our actual patients (the sick ones, not the frequent flyers) prefer Berger over the larger hospitals because of the quality of care they receive.
  15. Considering I work there, you would be wrong on all accounts. Thanks for playing though.
  16. Can you put hair back on my head? It's getting a bit thin up there.
  17. I'm sure it's not traditional rootbeer, but I love the shit out of Barq's.
  18. I think the majority of Cville goes to Berger's ER when they're bored. You could try that.
