  1. It's hospital policy. I have access to hard copies, but unfortunately, it's for employees only, so I won't be posting it. I'm not saying that's how it goes 100% of the time, but if it's in the hospitals documentation that she acquired something while she was there (that was preventable), and the insurance company wants to pursue it, then it's on the hospital to cover the cost since it was 'their fault'. Take it or leave it, that's the way it is.
  2. I don't believe so. If you leave the hospital with an infection you didn't come in with, the hospital eats the cost to fix it. If you leave with a sore you didn't come in with, the hospital eats it. Hospitals have to be damn near perfect in their care of people and though that's how we'd all like it to be; it's hard to be perfect. We're human, after all.
  3. AOL poll: Do you favor or oppose the Democrats' health care bill? Oppose 76% Favor 24% Total Votes: 121,569 Hmmm...
  4. You get your chance to say something every November.
  5. I'm buying a Nestle Crunch bar tomorrow just because that's fucking hilarious.
  6. ...and that's the problem with most of America these days.
  7. So you guys are getting a ~500mhz processor to overclock to 1.2Ghz? Yeesh. I wonder what the N1's Snapdragon will do.
  8. Sure sign of AIDS if I've ever seen it... I'm just saying.
  9. Not to mention, "I forgot the money." Give me a break. Then the guy proceeds to follow him all around Dayton while he tries to find the money....... He needed to be taken out of the gene pool.
  10. This guy was so fucking stupid, he was pretty much just asking to be shot. And I'm not sure anyone's ever said having a CCW will always make you come out on the winning side.
  11. P.S. CPD carry's HST's, which is another reason I carry them. If the cops carry them, then I can't really be crucified for shooting somebody with them.
  12. Those aren't mine; just some pic I nabbed off Google. They were shot into ballistic gel, which if it's calibrated correctly, should simulate human flesh. Not all hollowpoints spread out like that. HST's flare out like that because they're pretty badass. Winchester Ranger-T's do something similar, but they've got little "talons" on them that looks like they'd do some major organ damage. Speer GoldDots flare out similar to the HST's. Everything else is sub-par in my opinion. The older shit tends to just bunch up and mushroom a bit. HST's are not Hydrashocks. I see it posted as such on this board an awful lot, but that's misinformation. Hydrashocks are old tech and don't really hold a candle to modern day hollowpoints. They were good back in their day, and I'm sure that's why they still carry a good name; but HST's kick their ass. Ammo is also getting much easier to find. The panic is wearing off.
  13. For what it's worth, I run these in my G23 and 1911. Federal HST: http://www.btfh.net/shoot/images/bullet-test-6/hst.jpg Quite possibly the meanest mother fuckers ever invented.
  14. P.S. A person isn't going to know whether they've been shot with a 9mm or a .45. Get some modern self defense ammo, put your shots where they need to be, and they won't know the difference. .45 might be bigger, but it's also traveling a lot slower.
  15. Can't be done without swapping slides. You'd be better off to buy a whole new gun.
  16. I'm no expert, but I do know that most 1911 parts have to be fitted. You're not supposed to just swap parts into them like you do on Tupperware guns.
  17. Needs more ground clearance.
  18. Insight does the same shit to us.
