Don't be a pussy. I had mine taken out two years ago, and was back to work the next day. The first week was cake. Hell, I even got into a shouting match with my mom about 4 hours after having mine taken out (she wouldn't let me drive anywhere with the anethesia in my system). The second week, however, sucks. It won't keep you from doing anything, but I guarantee you won't be eating anything. I lost like 20-25lbs from taking mine out. Your throat really starts to scab over during the second week, and you start hacking up some NASTY looking purple/brown/red globs. I only had one hiccup during the whole experience. As soon as I woke up after the surgery, I jumped up out of the hospital bed, and fell flat on my face. Stupid drugs made me dizzy as hell. Oh, and I puked on the way home from the hospital, because the anethesia always makes me sick to my stomach. That was enjoyable after your throat was just cut on... Foreign anethesiologist, "We're going to give you something so you don't get sick from the anethesia" :bs: Worked great... :asshole:

Yea, he keeps telling me almost this exact same thing. I usually just ignore him though. Yea, it usually draws a crowd when he fires it up. It does sound pretty nasty.

I believe my father is a member of that site. I'm not exactly sure how active he is though. I believe his screen name is AllisonEd. (Ed Long) From what I know about his boat, it's a red with gold and black trim, Allison XB-2003, 1998 model year. He's had one metric shit ton of motors on the thing. When it runs, it seems to run like a raped ape. I've been up to, around 80mph in it with him, and I believe he's taken it up to 100-101 mph. I can't remember what motor he's running on it now. When he first started off, he ran a few 2.4l powerheads, then stepped up to a couple 2.5l ones, and now I think he's running a 300 drag? (whatever the hell that is). All I know is it's pretty rowdy. I think he mentioned it should be somewhere around 350 N/A. Last I checked, he had bought a nitrous kit for it. From what he's told me, it injects N2O, and alcohol as a supplimental fuel. He claims he has the means to run a staged 250 shot on it (1st stage = 75hp, 2nd stage = 175hp). Sounds awfully big, but I could be wrong on the numbers. 600hp in a boat that weighs a little over 1,000lbs sounds crazy to me. He's been down to the Ohio river several times, and a couple events he referred to as 'Rumble on the River.' Along with a few more. BTW, What kind of setup are you running? He keeps trying to drag my ass out with him, so he can teach me to drive his boat. He claims Allisons are a on a whole nother level when it comes to driving them. When I was about 15, i took it to around 70-75, then that bitch started to raise out of the water, and I pussed out. I really should get back into going out with him. I haven't ridden in the thing in probably 4+ years.
