For whatever reason, they changed the extractor design, which is now sub-par. Swap it out for an Apex or an older gen extractor if you can find one. Problem solved. :masturboy:
Steel should be of proper hardness to withstand hits without deforming too much. General guidelines are AR300 for pistol and AR500 for rifle. I would not use scrap iron.
Steel should be suspended and have something to allow it to 'give' a little. Solid mounting will result in the steel taking 100% of the impact, and will eventually tear up your steel. It will also increase the likelihood of a ricochet.
Do not shoot at cratered steel. Craters cause the fragments to deflect in weird directions. And as stated earlier; use frangible ammo if shooting at really close distance. Other than that, anything that isn't steel jacketed or cored should be just fine.
Talk to Jason (LowridnS10) on here. I believe he's a fleet manager of some sort for Fishel Construction and over hundreds of vehicles. I also believe he's in charge of all of the GPS installations and tracking over all of the vehicles for the company. If it deals with vehicle tracking, he probably knows about it.

I'm holding out for the '14. Supposed to get a mid-model refresh. New digi-dash rumored to be similar to the new viper's. 8" navigation screen. 8-spd auto. 3.0 CRD.
