  1. Hal, thanks. I've heard that about the creatine. With respect to the workouts, I think I plateau a lot, which is why, I think, it would be good to have a workout partner so that I could push to failure on everything (and even get in those one or two extra reps at 80 or 70 percent). My schedule is so variable, though, which makes it difficult on anyone wanting to try to work out with me. Anyway, I always try to aim to push to failure on most every set, 6 to 8 reps, heavy weight. Should I mix it up more? Go with lighter weights and more intense reps, you think?
  2. I'm in the gym four or five days a week. I never much cared about how much I could max out at; my focus has always been more on developing a physique and looking as though I could move around a lot of weight. I use the usual suspects - whey, casein, and soy - on a regular basis. I've been thinking of adding a supplement or two (e.g., creatine? N02 stuff?) to see where that takes me over the winter, but haven't researched it seriously as of late. Lean muscle gain is what I'm ultimately after, and I'd like to stay around my current percentage of body fat (which is about 5%).
  3. What row are the seats? Are the seats located together (i.e., next to each other)? Can you upgrade the tickets for additional $$$? If not, then can you provide two student IDs? Very interested buyer here.
  4. I probably will, it's just that I haven't found sufficient justification to drop $500+ on a pair of tickets.
  5. LOL - definitely genius, definitely correct.
  6. Today on PTI, Wilbon said, if Texas remains unbeaten, the other team most likely to face them in the National Championship game would be either USC or OSU. Kornheiser replied with something like, "Yeah, but USC throttled OSU," to which Wilbon promptly replied, "Terrel Pryor." Kornheiser then said, "But what about Penn State?" Wilbon's reply: "Penn State hasn't beaten Ohio State in Columbus, it ain't gonna happen." I said (and might have posted here earlier) that I hoped OSU could, with Pryor and a healthy Wells, have everyone saying by the end of the season, "How in the hell could OSU lose that bad to USC???" It seems like they are on that path now; a bunch of people have seemingly jumped back on OSU's bandwagon.
  7. It took me all of 22 seconds to determine that was fake/staged.
  8. Me too. I had the same streak going...until I attended the National Championship game in Glendale...
  9. BTW, Texas looked absolutely dominant last night - I think they could be anyone, anywhere the way they are playing right now. Of course, this is the middle of the season, and it really counts at the end - which any OSU fan can tell you.
  10. I so hate your face right now. Seriously, so jealous - I want to go to the game badly, though I'm having trouble justifying $500 on a pair of tickets. Help convince me, or help me find cheaper tickets.
  11. If he dies, he dies. Speaking of Rocky IV, I'm doing dragon flags right now as I type this, and my abs have never looked better. JP, I bet the conditioning for the MMA stuff was pretty intense. I remember how insanely tired I would get just wrestling for two minutes; I can't imagine how grueling the MMA stuff must be.
  12. Jamie, congratulations on times/traps and owning such a clean, well-made car.
  13. Yeah, Wisconsin's wheels have completely fallen off. Ohio State looked great today. Penn State's now pulling away from Michigan; next week's matchup is starting to look excellent.
  14. Watching someone nearly die can be tough to take; sounds like you kept your cool pretty well. Glad to hear it (apparently) turned out okay.
  15. All kinds of awesome things can be spotted at Capital.
  16. Awesome, good luck with that. I was just at Grady Memorial Hospital the other day, and someone in HR there was telling me that, for the signing bonus for the two CRNAs they just hired, they gave them Jaguars. Seriously, gave them a fucking car as a signing bonus. How baller is that?
  17. Cavin, is someone else on your screenname? Anyway, I'm planning on being in the Arena District tonight for at least a little bit, so I may stop by the Lodge Bar. Are you going for sure?
  18. This guy just ran in and dropped a truth bomb on everybody.
  19. Everytime I see your sig, I expect to see Pedobear peeking out from behind the RX-7.
  20. Since you're Cavin Le Douche, you probably don't know this, but male nurses have been and continue to be in high demand, and, especially in some specialties, they are exceptionally well paid. For example, IIRC, male certified registered nurse anesthetists (CRNAs) are commanding salaries in the area of $150K to $175K per year. That's some serious loot. On top of that, as a nurse, you get to work with, oh, I don't know, LOTS OF OTHER NURSES WHO ARE USUALLY CHICKS THAT ARE TYPICALLY PRETTY HOT AND COMFORTABLE WITH THEIR BODIES SO THEY DO A LOT OF FREAKY SHIT ALL THE TIME. So, I'd say being a male nurse is a pretty good gig.
