If you want it done correctly, then I'd think you'd spend considerably more than just $6,000. Principle is the same, though - if you have the $$$ to spend, then go with the turbo. If you're simply worried about a timeslip that shows 10's, then there's much cheaper ways of getting it.

Yup, saw that posted up a few days ago on another site. It's officially the world's fastest Z06. Impressive no matter what. Not exactly my cup of tea (e.g., it's less streetable than what I would normally prefer), but impressive nonetheless.

Gearhead, okay, $20, whatever. Mike C + Gearhead (+ Howard, even though I think you were being facetious) - on the bet, no stipulations about the driver, the set-up, the boost, or anything. Just two things: (1) it's the IPS EVO and (2) it traps 140mph or higher. Hell, I don't even know that much about the car, and you've even got Brett - who knows the car better than, well, probably everybody except for Mike - saying it's not a 140mph car. So, it should be easy money for you guys.

JP, it was cool of you and the others that were willing/able to make the trip. Anyway, without an operational car, it didn't make much sense for me to be emeshed in the festivities. When it's done, I promise, I'll make the trip up there, and I'll bring whoever wants to come. Maybe then you're new project will be done, and we - along with Jamie - can make it three wide.

OSU's defense improved just over the span of the four quarters of the Texas game and immensely over their showing against Northern Illinois. Fuck, they only gave up 7 points - I'll take that out of any defense ANY day. (And Texas shouldn't have had that 7 points - that was one the worst penalty calls that I've ever seen. Sure, maybe 3, but not the 7.) In any event, I think we've been a bit spoiled by OSU's defenses in recent years past - which have been overwhelmingly dominant. I'm satisfied with the defense thus far, though. Also, sure, Texas isn't the same team they were last year, i.e., they no longer have Vince Young. Okay, I can buy that. However, you also have to concede that OSU isn't the same team either - for instance, no Troy Smith suspension, and no Justin Zwick (who, bless his little high school heart, just doesn't seem able to cut it at the high-profile collegiate level). Overall, I thought it was a dominating performance by OSU, which clearly established them as the front-runners to reach the national championship game.

A lot of people are asking for clarification about the meet tonight. So, in order to make it a little more noticeable for everyone, here's a new thread to highlight some information: 1. We'll meet at QS&L at 7:30ish. That's when the CLE guys are supposedly rolling in. The plan is to bullshit for a little, get some dinner or whatever, set up some stuff, and then cruise somewhere. 2. In all likelihood, we will end up cruising out to IPS, or we'll end up there at some point during the night. I'd imagine that we should be at IPS around 11pm. 3. So, in sum: if you can't make it out to QS&L earlier (7:30ish), then be at IPS later (11ish).
