  1. Great vid - felt like I was on the rally.
  2. Was listening to The Fan earlier, they were discussing Barrett's stats. IIRC, he's on pace to set all kinds of single season records, including passing yards (held by Hoying) and TDs (held by Troy Smith, I think). Also, let's just say he plays three more years and puts up equivalent stats each of those years... O_O
  3. PS - I think there's a lot more parity in CFB than there was. For that reason, I think just about anyone is capable of beating anyone else.
  4. Had Arkansas beat Georgia yesterday, they would have been vaulted to #2, thus making the SEC West coup complete. But don't fret, there's still time to move LSU back up, just wait and see. Polls are so stupid. Yet, we continue to use them. One day, I swear, we'll look back and be like, "How fucking dumb were we that we actually used this shit to figure out who the champion was?" Can you imagine if the NFL did something similar? It would be anarchy. Yet, oddly, CFB is fine with it. Because we use them - and I firmly believe the committee will use the polls to help guide their selections (which is stupid, but they'll do it) - then they matter. And, if they matter, then it matters when they aren't fair. Right now, they aren't fair, and they have never been fair. Why? Because the polls are established before a single snap if even played. For instance, Ohio State was the #5 team in all of America the first week of the year, but we had just lost our Heisman-candidate QB. How the fuck does that make any sense? It doesn't, yet, there we were, #5 in the country. The insanity is magnified with the SEC: bias dictates that a bunch of SEC teams be ranked before the year even starts, and, because of that, whoever does well in SEC benefits in the end.
  5. No one will be able to see your debt when you blind them with the brilliance of a Corvette. Get yo $35K millionaire on playa and I'll see you at the VIP tables at Social tonight around 2.
  6. I know you missed on a couple - Alabama just absolutely annihilated Texas A&M - but you fucking nailed that upset special. Well played, my good man.
  7. VT lost again - this time to Pitt. I actually think VT losing more helps Ohio State. The reason why is because if it becomes clear that Ohio State is better now - or down the road - than VT, and that they are an improved team, and VT is just a train wreck, then people are more likely to see the game as a fluke. "Remember way back when Ohio State lost at home to that atrocious VT team? LOL that is just crazy - what a fluke that was, huh?"
  8. But his friend from New York City won't.
  9. I have the weirdest boner right now... Seriously, this is so awesome to read. What a strong, courageous woman. Absolutely inspirational. And hot. Definitely happy for you and the wife, Andy.
  10. http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/ncaaf-dr-saturday/mississippi-state-ascends-to-no--1-in-ap-and-coaches-polls-190010722.html TCU loses, yet remains at #12 (i.e., doesn't move down at all) in coaches poll - WTF?

  12. Yeah, I think it will likely come down to which one I like driving more.
  13. Yup, aesthetically, the Porsche is still the winner in my opinion. And I can't disagree with any of your other points.
  14. That's fantastic - very happy for you.
  15. There may be hope. Let's say Ohio State stays hot and just rolls everyone, including Michigan State. That, coupled with a hype train for JT Barrett, could be enough to create a neat little narrative that the Va Tech game was a fluke, that it was first big game jitters, that Ohio State was replacing a bunch of starters, that the Buckeyes were adjusting to life without a Heisman candidate at QB, etc. People may frame it as a distant memory, something that is so far removed from the current character of the team that people will act like it happened in 2012, not the beginning of this season. Maybe it's just wishful thinking on my part, but realistically I can see something like this happening. Of course, Ohio State has like zero margin for error and has to do its part in destroying everyone to even get this ball rolling. Think of it like USC in 2008 when they lost to Oregon State (or any of a number of other years in the 2000s when they lost to a clearly inferior opponent only then to roll everyone else): I guarantee if 2008 was this year, USC would be in the playoff, and I'd put a nice chunk of money that they whip Florida and/or Oklahoma (or whoever the 4th team in would have been that year).
  16. So Miss State vaults up 8 spots and Texas AM drops 7. I've never understood when that happens: is it that both teams were really good (hence why the winner jumps so high) or that the loser is really bad (hence why the winner drops so much)? It's like having the cake and eating it too. The SEC has a great gig right now. I know, we here have been saying it for a few years now, but the system is such that they keep teams in the mix continuously with their bias. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't a little jealous.
  17. Also, another factoid: first time Ole Miss and Miss State have both beat a top 10 team on the same day.
  18. UCLA lost as well. Complete Armageddon yesterday.
  19. Props to Josh for calling the upset of Bama. Oklahoma goes down, so did Wisconsin. There is going to be mass shakeup in the polls. Miss State and Ole Miss - both in top 10? Wonder if that has ever happened in history of the polls...
  20. This car is pretty much keeping me from purchasing a 911 Turbo. I'm not sure how at this point I'll be able to justify the Porsche over this Z06.
