Well it looked close, now the GTO is taking over as favorite. If someone can find me an 05 GTO around the 16k mark, id be set. Most I see are around 18.5-24k! 05 stangs seem to be in the 15-19k range

lol thanks for the responses guys. The votes here seem about as close as me trying to make up my mind. If I could afford the ls2 GTO my mind would be made up, but as it sits right now, im in the 04 price range.

I test drove both, and they seem pretty equally matched on power. I like the GTO interior better but I like the mustang exterior better! Ugh, this is tuff

I am looking into buying one of these 2 vehicles in the next couple weeks. Just wondering your opinions and how these vehicles stack up to each other. Discuss!

Dang, looks like Im gonna have to register to see the thread. Sorry about snapping at you earlier. It was just that was the first time I saw the thread after I posted it for sale and seeing you call my truck fishy struck a nerve. Again I apologize. I noticed on the stock pic of the truck from wiki that the rear moldings dont add much to the truck and you can barely notice them...guess thats why I never noticed when I bought the truck. Good eye. Do you know anything about this motor? What exactly leaks internally? Anti-freeze? Injector leak?

Could you be more specific? I really dont know much about GMs, I am a ford guy through and through. What more can you guys tell me about this motor I have in this truck?

Are you talking all of the body moldings? or just the rear ones?

The motor already has the same internals that the turbo version does, so im assuming it would just be a matter of slapping the turbo on and running the piping

Dont know where the rear skirts are, it never had them when I bought it. no its NOT a clone. Original grill shattered do to bird eating it at 90mph. If you dont believe me that its a real sonoma GT, i can post the VIN. I hate being called a liar FYI...

it is auto, the exact same floor shift as the syclone. It is rear wheel drive, and the only thing wrong with it is that there is about a foot long section of rust over the rear wheel well.

I have for sale a 1992 GMC Sonoma GT. The truck starts, runs and drives excellent, has great power. Rated at 200hp and 260tq. All options work aswell. These trucks were built in the same factory as the Syclone and look identical to them, even down to the interior! The syclone was a turbo 4.3 and AWD. This is a n/a 4.3ho. The truck has a nice pioneer cd deck in it aswell. There were only 800 of these trucks made, only 400 of which were black. So recently i've been on this kick where I miss my old 92 Camaro and am looking for another 3rd gen. Does anyone know of any good places to look? Autotrader, Cars.com and craigslist all turned up with minimal results. Any other good places to check?

I think we're gonna wait until a diesel comes our way. I cant justify giving them a newer car with waaay less miles on it, that gets 33mpg for the v10.

So im guessing by the responses here, most people wouldnt do this? Heres the whole story, basically, id be trading him my 06 Fusion (4cyl) with only 12000mi. on it, for a 2002 Ford Excursion with 90k on it.

Thats what Im thinking, I shouldnt just settle for the 1st one I see. This dealer is being generous though. My fusion books for 8600 trade in, hes willing to give me 10,300 for it! Which is payoff, so does it still sound like a bad idea?

I agree on this 100% NONE of the 7.3s im finding have less than 100k, and if they do, they want top dollar for them...
