  2. timing is done, new flywheel is on, waiting on some bolts then she'll be back together
  3. Okay: Clutch and flywheel came in finally along with all my bolts, hoses, and gaskets I needed. The car should be running this up coming weekend. Tonight I re-gasketed the oil pans, installed the rear main, slapped on the turbos. Timing will be set at school since I gotta re do it from manufacturer spec. I just got a few quick shots 3 nights ago. http://img17.imageshack.us/img17/8901/picture095k.jpg http://img136.imageshack.us/img136/7779/picture097.jpg http://img22.imageshack.us/img22/175/picture098k.jpg http://img148.imageshack.us/img148/9848/picture102p.jpg Oh and heres a few shots of my roommates 85 corolla drift car, he drifts this in many events out here. Theres also another 85 rolla in the other spot in the garage i'm slowly working on. http://img17.imageshack.us/img17/4773/picture096x.jpg http://img359.imageshack.us/img359/8717/picture099.jpg http://img244.imageshack.us/img244/7933/picture100.jpg
  4. sorry to hear man. Seems like crime rate everywhere has gone way up due to the economy. Someone tried to steal my civic hatch 2 nights ago from my driveway in a decent neighborhood in Avondale AZ. I noticed the alarm wires clipped under the dash, looked like they were gunna come back again. Good thing I have a clutch and steering club. I reconnected the alarm and put it on super sensitive. No one has tried anything yet.
  5. wish I was in town I'd snag it. GL with the sale

  12. I always drive around it in my awd cars.
  13. Is 5th gear grinding? If so you're trans is toast its just a matter of time.
  14. RIP, I have friends back in cbus that know him and went to school with him.
  15. Hell you could have gotten a running turbo model 5 speed in that same color here in phoenix for 1000 bux. Paint was perfect for 177k miles.
  16. Yep you're correct. I stripped the power steering pulley center bolt so I am welding on an allen socket tomorrow morning and its coming off for sure. Bought moar parts: ecs tuning lightweight pulley kit to make up for the lightweight flywheel, samco sport red boost hose kit. And of course I need more bolts haha. This project it taking way longer than expected. Joe
  17. For real, I actually didn't mind delivering. It was nice to have loads of cash everyday after work. Mark, sorry to hear about the job. GL on the new job hunt.
  18. welcome! That looks like my old talon but in wayyy better shape haha. I miss my talon sometimes it was a great car till the trans blew.
  19. I called the checker auto parts (advanced auto equivalent) out here in Phoenix and told them the BMW dealership in Scottsdale told me I need H.I.D. fluid for my headlights. The guy actually looks on the computer for a few minutes and tells me he can't find any info on that and tells me to call the dealership back to make sure.
  20. Hell yeah thats a good thing! I just keep finding shit I need to replace on this car, its getting irritating. I figure while I have the motor out do whatever I can afford to it. I bought: Samco boost hose kit, exedy stage 3 clutch kit with fidanza flywheel, huge stainless steel oil return lines, GIAC stage 1 ecu, EBC ultramax slotted rotors all around with ackebono ceramic pads, hyperboost diverter valves performance wise for the car. The car has a brand new OEM drive shaft, all the gaskets for the motor, new trans and engine mounts (came with the car), new timing belt/water pump/serp belt, new t-stat and gasket, turbos are fresh rebuilt and balanced, new rear wheel bearings, used axle spline for the front where it cracked. All I need to buy now (crossing fingers) is: intake manifold gaskets injector o rings 1 of the 02 sensors gotta read the codes when it runs again cv boot clamp few bolts that stripped out I'm still just awaiting arrival of parts so I can get this thing back out on the road
  21. shiit thats a lot of deer your family hit! I never hit one personally but my brother borrowed the celica one night when I was trashed and he came back with the whole front end and roof destroyed. Ended up selling that car right after it was repaired.
  22. Looks real good man. I need a set of wheels bad for mine!
