  1. Derek should be your first choice, if he cant do it go to the NTB at Polaris and ask for Stas, he's damn good at doing alignments.
  2. Edward Norton in "Fear", or was it "Primal Fear"?? I always get the 2 mixed up. Either way his character was a sick fuck.
  3. This lap was 1/10th off my best time today. Unfortunately I got slower as the day went on as our back to back runs got the tires too hot. I managed 3rd in my class against one of our own Sti's and really built Sti from Pittsburgh. The NORA(Cleveland) boys had a couple of fast cars but only managed 3rd as a group in this multi-region challenge. Either way it was fun to see some different cars.
  4. Yeah, as a 2 driver by half way through our runs our tires were overheated and we both went slower. The off-camber was fine for me as our OSU lot is entirely off-camber turns and the entrance was on-camber.
  5. Thanks Brian, though I didn't see this in time!! I'll tell you what, you cleveland boys like to talk smack....lol!! I can see where JP and company get it from. It's all in good fun and they seem to have a lot of it so it's fine. Now for the results though not all official yet: 4th place: Northwest Ohio Region 3rd place: NORA (Cleveland) :thumbdown 2nd place: OVR (Columbus) 1st place: Steel Cities Region (Pittsburgh) All the regions were only seperated by only a combined time of a couple seconds and Steel Cities edged out OVR by a combined time of less than .75 secs!!!! Damn good fun today and I look forward to running in Cleveland again!! Video of my best from today:
  6. #2 or #3. I like #2 the most as it's a very different looking wheel.
  7. That's pretty normal. My neighbors consider my Laser and only my Laser(nobody else' car of course) an eye sore and harass me about it on every rare occasion I don't park it in the garage and they attempt to get it towed!! That's old people for you.

    New Toy

Def get pics soon! Hows the heat down there?? I hear it's been well over 100 degrees!
  9. Sweet!! I'm gonna roll up in the Pathfinder and do a long smokey burnout!!
  10. Nice! One of the best bodies of camaro's with the one of the best engines, great combination!!
  11. Exactly, just a couple weeks ago a Solstice flipped down there, don't know what happened to the driver but seeing as anything above the top of the door didn't exist it couldn't of been good.
  12. Not there. I've seen 03's for around mid to low 20's, probably even less than that since I last looked.
  13. My roommate works there and makes damn good money. His position requires some on-call on occasion and some evening work once in a while but it's all stuff he can do from home. He does something with server maintenance for the Chase.com site I think.
  14. I initally never liked the 06 front end but it has grown to be my favorite by far. The 08' looks like a Hyundai corolla hybrid and just plain ugly imo. The first couple reviews of the 08 so far are really good so some people obviously like it.
  15. Agreed, that thing could still tow a decent load and get 30mpg!!
  16. I noticed a lot of patrol in this area yesterday. Saw 1 state patrol in each direction hiding behind the center walls by sawmill. Dublin cops in the center walls right by 161/270 and 2 more Dublin cops on 33 radaring the people exiting from 270W to 33W from on top of the brifge over 270. This was around lunch time when I went through. Basically the whole damn area was crawling.

    My new toy.

Nice looking chassis. This is a setup I've been looking to do myself.
  18. Thank Rusty, Im gonna do my best to represent our region and Columbus. Heh....we'll see!! Don't bug ray, he gets distracted enough as it is and that's the only thing holding him back. HPDE is a perfect example of it as when he does that he's under no pressure to beat anyone else, only himself. Thus he seems to be doing quite good at it. Once he relaxes at autocross and doesnt worry about beating other people he'll get a lot faster. I assume your not coming to this event up there with the panhard bar??
  19. I think there is a market for stuff like that, don't think I would buy theirs just yet though.
  20. Now we just need a pic of your car actually on the track!!
  21. Their decent cars, like Pat said 2 come to autocross frequently and do alright considering their weight. The owners have both mentioned the rear end issues for their cars making power more than stock and the wheel hop on launch. For what you want it for it should be a good car.
  22. Great pics Mitch, thanks! That is me in the S, Ed(Hotwire) in the slightly older saab and a friend of his in the newer one, Pat(Clbsinvaders)in the 7, and Craig in the Eclipse. Craig is a great driver and beat out a lot of awd cars in the rain sunday!! The FD, Si, and the Z06 aren't members here but regulars to autocross. Here's a pic of the Z06 running in the rain sunday... http://richard.safier.com/OVR/gcsun2007/target575.html That takes some serious throttle control with a car like that in those conditions!! He and Bill in the F-body are our resident photographers. Here's the FD sideways in the wet... http://richard.safier.com/OVR/gcsun2007/target264.html Again another car that is very difficult to drive in those conditions, he said he had a ton of fun though.
  23. Those cars regardless sound amazing, especially hearing them bark as they downshift!!!
