Yeah, it sucks being a noob running in the first heat, then with the 3 heat system you have to go right out and work. I wish they would allow 1st and 2nd timers to move to a heat where they don't have to run/work right away, it would be a lot easier. BTW, next event is this sunday!!

Chris' mom asked also she would like any additional money is collected to be donated to http://www.epilepsyfoundation.org to benefit epilepsy research. Anthony, thanks again for doing this. Chris' parents thank you for doing this for him and greatly appreciate it.

Should you not get a copy ask someone who got one or go to his myspace pages and DL it directly. Also if you want a copy bring blank discs or something and I can make you a copy at some point, he has some killer music. As I said this is going to be a great big party and all are welcome!!

I didn't ask his parents as I was just at his house, but I believe it was a bad seizure from the epilepsy. Please come out tomorrow night if you like, you didn't have to know him to know of him. His parents want as many people to come as possible so don't hesitate.

To clarify: We are not calling this a funeral but the purpose is the same. Chris would want us to have a bigass party and not mope around. I believe he has been creamated according to his wishes but I do not know if his ashes will be there. My roommate Ray is making about 20-25 copies of the last mix Chris made and will be giving them out to whomever wants them. Andrew, you are in the "SM" class. There are always a ton of entrants so you'll have somebody to play with. Come on out, you'll never have as much fun with your mustang and there are a couple of really fast ones in our region. Joe, though I know the S has more power I know the feeling as it's underpowered for it's class. You'd be surprised at how much faster you can go with bigger/wider tires and other stuff, you have a momentum car!!

Tomorrow night Aug. 28 at the Embassy Suites hotel on Corporate exchange drive(270 and Cleveland Ave on the north end) at 7pm there will be a celebration of Chris' life. All are welcome to come. There will be signs inside directing you where to go. This is a celebration and is dress casual as Chris wouldn't have it any other way. There will be a video slide show with film and pictures of Chris going on and a cash bar will be available. Hope to see some of you there!!

The s2k actually responds really well to boost, the stock internals are supposed to be good to 10psi despite the compression. I know in n/a form they can take a tremendous beating but they are not impervious to anything. Also: a carbon fiber hood on a s2k(if thats what you were referring to) is pointless on those cars as they save you at best 2lbs ,as most cf hoods weigh more than the stock hood do. Vented would obviously have its purpose.

Dave, your car is gorgeous!! You seemed to do fine considering the power your car makes, when you hit the gas you looked like a passenger...lol!! Experience is huge in autocross, some people figure it out fast but even then won't run with the experienced guys. Obviously seat time will give you the most improvement on the course, but your cars stock suspension was definitely a hinderance with its power level. Your tires looked new enough but what kind are they?? There are huge differences in street tires out there. If I had realized you were on here I would of said hi today.

Were waiting on his mom to finalize things, but there will be a "Celebration" for him sometime this week, likely early in the week some evening. I believe it is going to be an open event and all will be welcome to attend. I or someone else will post the details as we get them. Next monday(3rd I believe) we are working on putting together another celebration at a local club somewhere with my roommate and some others dj'ing and mixing/playing Chris' music. This will be an open event for sure and everyone who wants to is encouraged to come and celebrate Chris' life and his great music. Again details to come.

In-car from my best run today of a 47.8, for reference FTD was a shifter kart at a 44.9 I believe.

Damn fun today!! The course was incredibly fast, I was at the top of 2nd gear(58mph) through the diamonds and into the right sweeper the entire time and hit the limiter once more in another spot and one other area where I was near the top of 2nd again. Fast fun course and I managed to hang onto the BSP Vette by a 10th for 2nd place. Video coming shortly.

Agreed with Dave, Chris could make anyone laugh in any situation. He was always a happy person and cavalier about life, he brought a great energy with him everywhere he went that could ruboff on anyone. Alright here's some more info: As said Chris Schnell was found thursday the 23rd by some of our friends deceased in his bed. He had been hanging out with my roommate Ray at Spice bar tuesday night talking DJ stuff and trying to break into the DJ scene more. He was a good musician(i'll be linking everyone to his last mix that he made shortly) and en enthusiast of motorsports, he was in the process of rebuilding his Mr2 turbo. I'm not going to speculate what caused his death until we hear the autopsy report, but he DID have Epilepsy which may have contributed to his death. Again let's wait for final word of what really happened. Chris will be greatly missed. Chris has a couple of my space pages, 1 under his name and also as "Djkiddquikk" that you can communicate through. He also was the founder of "Columbusstreetracing.net". My heart and prayers are with him and his family, Ben Senft

Well the saying is "if your not hitting cones your not driving fast enough".... I seem to trade it off each event, 1 event like last one I hit none, the next event I'll hit 3-4. At least I'm consistent at it!!

If that was you in the red 240 you should of come and introduce yourself. Saturday was a really light turnout, normally there are more cars than that and technically seeing as how my car is a "Plymouth" and built in "Normal" and has no ricer mods it can't be considered rice!! BTW, I was in the blue 1g dsm.

I think we will have a better defense than last year, offense has lost some but I think will recover pretty quickly. So what is the deal with this Big 10 network?? Am I going to have to go to a different place each game just to watch them because of network exclusivity??

I didn't know there was much of a difference in "quality" of window tint.....maybe you mean the darkness(% of light passage)?? I always went to Professional Eclipse, don't know if he's still around. Typically charged $120 to $140 and it was lifetime warranted against bubbling/peeling like everyone else. I've heard good things about quality though.
