Why can't they just save us some money by going to a non-stamped plain white plate or something?? Also eliminating the front plate would be nice but that's a another subject!!

There's always Bullrun which I believe costs around $2500 to enter, not quite the same thing but somehting I would love to do.

Oregons offense scares the crap out of me, I watched the game with them demolishing USC and they had no anwser what-so-ever for Oregons offense. It should be a good game but like people are saying OSU will have to be aggressive meaning Tressel not calling the plays!!

^Yep, I saw some film about her and the Ring while she was driving the Ring Taxi drifting an M5 around 120mph with 4 people in the car, pretty nuts!!
-
^You would think so as she's considered one of if not the most experienced person on the ring in the world. I hope this comes state side as well.

It's funny how a lot of people are pointing the finger at Pryor when the whole team is playing horrible. Pryor has NO time to do anything be cause of the offensive line and this supposed possible best defense in the nation is incapable is stopping Purdue.

Damn, wish I had the money for this, it's a fun track for sure.

OVR-SCCA Autocross - Sat 17th @ NTR - Points Event #10

Have fun guys, I would go but am in Chicago right now and actually running an autocross up here on sunday. I'll be in the same boat as it's no warmer here but it will be sunny at least!! -
I saw a show about the Buckeye Bullitt not long ago, very cool stuff especially coming from college students. I think of a more fun way to learn things than by participating in a project like that.
-
Wow, that S2K was getting worked!! For the autocross questions....Some vehicles are too tall to autocross and there is a formula to figure it out using wheelbase and height. Some vehicles can't do it at all and some are restricted to street tires only.

Not BS, I did just part ways with the old roommate and not on good terms. The police believe the old roommate stole it though we don't have any proof. In talking with him the cop said he was dodging some of the questions and couldn't give some straight awnsers, basically he sounded nervous to the cop though that doesn't make him guilty of anything. I've been looking into something like a Lo-jack for laptops, other than what Tim suggested does anyone else have any other suggestions for security??

I'll take it!!! LOL! Oddly nothing else was taken despite my lcd tv right there and camcorder as well. They did take the box it came in which means they had to go into my closet to get that. It had the receipts in it but I've already talked to best buy about it. What sucks is my personal info is on that computer, I really wish they had gone online with it and tried to acces my bank account so they could be tracked but nothing so far. It's probably long gone by now.

My laptop computer was stolen recently from my apartment. Should anyone see someone with a HP Pavilion DV7 Bronze 17" laptop for sale or someone who just got it for super cheap please let me know. I'm scouring craigslist but my odds of finding it are probabl none. There is a cash reward for the return of the computer or just finding the fuck who stole it so I can show them how much I appreciate theives. Ben

I did have a lot of fun despite the heat. I got my checkoff ride to 3 so I'll get to play with some fast people next year.
-
Yeah, had stock stuff out back and fried it. I was at least smart enough to put good stuff up front so I had no problems there. Matt, did you drive at all? I didn't see you run.

Over the weekend I took the Mustang up to Mid-Ohio for some track time. I had Jeff order some Carbotech XP10's for the front of my car. He got me a damn good price on them and they showed up in a few days. Needless to say I ran the shit out of the car and the pads were up to the task despite brake temps of near 1300 degrees. Anyone wanting some good pads should look into Carbotechs and IPS has some great prices on them and they have compounds for any situation. Also despite the compound they didn't destroy my rotors!! I easily have another weekends worth of pad left and will be using Carbotechs from now on. Ben

I have the Carbotech XP10 up front and will run the XP8 in the rear next year. The front brakes held up great despite temps near 1300 degrees. The XP10's were great, no fade, no glazing, nothing but solid braking all weekend. Thorne, while Hawks are good pads the Carbotechs are in my opinion are better hands down. My buddy melted his Hawk HT-10 at Blackhawk last weekend. For you I would seriously get the Brembos off the STi on your car if you don't already have them, my buddy Ray has had nothing but problems with his brakes on his 09 WRX, he even caught them on fire last weekend. No tranny issues for me, I have the TR3650. I had no problems with the car at all despite being 90 all weekend, cooling temps never budged and the car had no quirks. I think for next year I'll be upgrading to Brembos or Stoptech for the front and just good pads in the rear, that's what the American Iron Mustangs are running.
-
Slide pins were fine, the pads wore evenly and completely into the backing!! My concern was maybe melting the dust boots as that just happened to a friend on his Subaru causing a brake fire but they've been fine otherwise. Considering I've been doing around 125mph on the back straight and standing on the brakes they've done well holding up to the heat with the exception of the rear pads. I'm lucky I caught this as I probably would have completely lost my brakes on the last session or had a fire. The Mustang is a very different car from the dsm, my Laser took a beating for years on the tracks as the 1st gens were stout cars but the the Mustang is well built too. I've been consistently between 4-5k rpms while on the track and had no issues, temp gauge hasn't budged and it's not burning oil or anything. I just hope it continues.
-
Good seeing you Matt, been fun for me except for missing my last session because of the rear brakes.
-
I learned a bit of a lesson today when it comes to brakes. I had replaced the front pads with carbotechs from IPS, changed to ATE Super Blue brake fluid, new rotors up front and new stock pads in the back for this weekend. Well after only 3 sessions today my back pads had disentegrated and dug quite deep into my rotors. I knew the pads wouldn't last but I had hoped they would last the weekend being only the back pads. I'll get a pic of what's left of my rotors tomorrow but they were completely thrashed. So about $100 extra later the car is back together, only thing that sucks is I couldn't get a hold of any decent pads for the rear so I bought 2 sets of stockers and will replace each after 2 sessions to make it through the day. Anyone ever planning on doing a serious track day should plan on replacing/upgrading all the pads and rotors etc....Needless to say I'll be having Jeff get me some Carbotechs all around next year and some better rotors at the very least. On a side note I've been thrashing the Mustang on track and it's otherwise been a fucking trooper.

I hope to have some video posted up tomorrow night, should be interesting with having the Mustang out on the track for the first time.

The grunt sound the Vette motor has is just amazing!!

Just got checked into the hotel, already run into the Tinman and a few familiar faces. It's going to be a hot ass weekend but a lot of fun too!!

I know the feeling, I've busted my ass lately and luckily the boss noticed and he's made sure I got the time off as I really though I'd be forced to work since were short staffed.
