  1. We spent 5 hours thrashing on one of the cars that came down. We didn't arrive until after Midnight. We had a 2+ hr drive home ahead of us. One car that came with us, an infamous Black STI formerly of Columbus fame, spun a rod bearing. If we were in a cheerful mood, then there's no excuse for you guys not to be. :asshole:
  2. Good plan. JP was too scared to ever show his face down there when y'all knew he was coming anyways.
  3. The word from the horses mouth, aka. Bill Bader Sr. is that they plan to announce their plans for the 2007 season this week. No formal intentions have been expressed to either the IHRA or NHRA as of yet. Norwalk would need a slew of improvements before the NHRA could bring a national event to that venue. We'll see how it goes.
  4. There are a few stipulations from both sides, and as far as I'm aware there is nothing set in stone as of yet. Norwalk has to commit to asphalt the entire pit area, and Night Under Fire will be a thing of the past as far as I understand it. Seeing as the combined NUF, and IHRA World Nationals crowds probably gross more $$$ than an NHRA National Event I don't know what the true motive for changing sanctioning bodies would be. It's not like this is the first time that this move has been tossed around the rumor mill. It's a tricky situation because not only is NRP an IHRA track, but it is home to the IHRA Corporate offices. I hope things do not change.
  5. Current price/2 and you might have a taker.
  6. I can't find that rule anywhere. The book I'm reading says 150+mph, your car must be equipped with a chute. Addendum: If you're a FWD car and you run 150mph you MUST pull said chute. The most recent revisions do nothing to change that.
  7. I'm pretty sure he had a GN. Whether or not it was fast enough for the windows to suck out is anyone's guess.
  8. The video will not be posted anywhere on the internets.
  9. The professionalism in which you represent your business is second to none.
  10. Honk, Honk, Go Linn/Honk, Sam Go.
  11. Since you like to get so particular about evidence, and what was said in what context I'll fill you in on something... JP did not start that thread. JP posted in an existing thread and it was split by one of the moderators so that some IPS bashing could commence. That's how it went down. Fact, not fiction.
  12. Cmon now, you think he can run high boost and nitrous with that stock ignition?
  13. No shift light. He might be sneaking a peek at the AFC?
  14. Might be easier to avoid the rev limiter if he had a tach to watch. The sumbitch shifts by ear. Ya Know!!
  15. It's a high compression, 2.4L nitrous motor. Magnus dogbox.
  16. Muh pick'em up truck ran a new best of 16.8@82. Had some nice one wheel smokey burnouts too. The junk might see the track this weekend.
  17. Stock ignitions and Autozone plug wires are amazing.
  18. What you can't see is that my foot was covering the staging beams until over a second into the run, and we moved the mph timing markers 5 feet closer together.
  19. Bump for a new career best ET and MPH for the Colt today. I'm sure the video will be up later on today.
  20. Dragway 42 would be a lot closer for you Columbus guys, and there's actually the chance that you'll get more than 1 or 2 passes. The track was recently repaved (sort of), and while not the greatest it's a much better location for a grudge match. I really don't know what JP thinks about the whole drag race thing, but I'd be in if my heap is running and track tested before then.
  21. I'm pretty sure 9 kids in a Pilot is unsafe. You should have called the cops.
