  1. Since you will probably do an Auto, the B8 A4 Avant or B8 Allroad might just be the perfect vehicle for you guys.
  2. DSG, Prestige, Drive select, and a few other options added after 2011, really spike the price.
  3. A CPO 2010 will fetch 36k for a steal to low 40s. Goes up from there. You seem to be shocked on countless occasions when you shop for new, premium cars. The C class, 3 series, A4, CTS can all crest 50k when loaded. The S4 can peak at over 60k.
  4. Based on this post I am reversing my opinion and voting to mod the camaro. I didn't know you demodded for that reason.
  5. I love the golf r. Its a bit lackluster under 3000 rpm with the stock k04, but really picks up on the back end. Traction and handling and braking are worlds better than my gti with v3s and upgraded stock brakes believe it or not. Sounds like you are ripe to build a BT 2.0t and get to swapping! PS the r uses haldex 4, your A3 and the mkv r32 uses haldex 2
  6. Hey, I met you when you had the pumpkin at the apartments in Hilliard. I used to have some mkvs back then. Welcome.
  7. I have beat 2 Range Rover Sport Supercharged tanks. Its those pesky Town & Countries that give me grief!
  8. Then decide. This. This, besides the whole miata>R thing.
  9. Sell Camaro. Because you won't, Miata LOL.
  10. :dumb: You purposely typed more characters than 135 to be cute. Typical BMW owner. :dumb:

    Multiquote is your friend.
  12. Its actually not that hard to get them for 27k, which is a great price for the performance.
  13. You would. Ricer I know that people say if you spray platidip on thick enough, it'll come off, but there HAS to be material left behind from the initial spray, where it gets in there, and stays in crevices, etc. I sprayed a very simple wheel with no crevices, and it came off fine, but panel seams, etc, gives me the shudders thinking about it. There has to be pics on google of what you want to see, rather than spraying your car first...
  14. I haven't owned a car that used conventional oil since 2005. I do know oil technology has evolved significantly, so most oils can do 5k. Look at the oil analysis topics online, you will find everything you need. My wifes car uses 7500 mile intervals, with full synthetic in a naturally aspirated car, driven moderately. I use 5000 mile intervals, full synthetic ina turbocharged car, driven agressively. Do your own reseach on car/engine/oil specifics.
  15. I guess. I never got 400 on a single tank in 77k miles lol. I averaged about 24mpg in my GTI. About 21 in the R.
  16. Absolutely no need for someone who gets 400 miles per tank in a GTI and 500 in a cc to do 5k synthetic oil changes. The 1.8t sludge was due to 10k conventional changes. There are countless 2.0t oil analysis threads out there. 5k is overkill for the average driver.
  17. This is my vote for cheap wheels. 18" though
